Have you ever seen a real person in front of you, talked to them and the next day realize they never existed? Death is not real...the dead lives on at different times than ours and i believe they step into our 3 dimensional world and we are not in other dimensions yet but they been here and i don't see why can't they be allowed here since they been here before?

@@selihter Hello Sally, this is an interesting take on life and death. No, I've never realized this. I'm not sure what you mean by never existing. Perhaps you can define "Life" and "Death." What does it mean to be alive or to live? What does it mean to be dead or to die? I don't know how old you are but when you consider the years you've been "alive" all of the people who have been involved in your upbringing existed for a while or a time. How did they not exist? Your other point about death not being real... the fact that someone was taken away from our reality as a result of death by so many means such as killed, natural causes, or a natural disaster... allows us to realize that it happened and that it is our reality. This man is a Physics specialist. Like science, it's an ongoing study and research. Thank for replying and sharing. I'd love to get your response.

@@JacksonCaesar i am 54 years old which i sometimes doubting because I feel like I was either here before or in the future, future because I can see things before they happened, not with my eyes but i say it in my head. I am sure you have experienced a nonexistent thought or a feeling that made you change your mind about what you were doing, right? Something good or bad is about to happen and it does. This is why I think that i exist here now, in the past, future or not even exist at all. In my 20s I used to think alot about painful things and dreamed of scary things to a point to where i wake up crying, scared etc. ...over thirty years i have been telling my mind to stop dreaming and or having bad thinking. When i was maybe 8 or nine, I don't remember. I played with kids in my village and they would give me fruits and candies which I'd take home and my mom would make me throw them away. Years later, i told my dad that i saw my uncle earlier in the morning and said that he'd come to visit us and dad told me that he is not my uncle, I was probably 11 or 12. I insisted that I met my uncle which i thought was real, he was my uncle whose been gone way before I was born. The kids that i played with were also never existed. My son died last April and I feel like he just went to a different place if not here😔culturally my family get together and celebrate his death next April on his anniversary. I don't believe in it but i have to be there. My son is somewhere or nowhere and i will never get to see him like i seen nonexistent being when I was a kid:) the reason I don't believe that i will see my son is because when my dad died, I've been looking for him and he never showed up 😔 the day my son passed is the day i accepted that my dad and my son are gone forever and it is a good thing💝i am sorry if you still didn't understand my story 👍i do not share my stories with anyone because I feel like no one would listen and care enough to ask questions 👌

@@selihter Hello Sally, thanks for sharing. I know this wasn't easy to do, yet, I feel it was just as relieving for you to share. In response to your many statements, feeling as if you've been here before (Dejavu), you're not alone. "To be or not to be, that is the question."- Hamlet. [smiles...] We've all had those moments. The speaker in this video made a great point about our ' lifetime.' It moves forward but we can only live in ONE time, the present. Ironically, we cannot go back nor can we jump forward to the future. We all (in fact) share in this one time and space for the 'time being.' Moreover, like most of us, we've all had a sense of Dejavu but in order to experience this, we need to be in the present time. Whenever I have them, I approach them as a reminder to myself that I'm on the right track (maybe not the best but my destiny track). [smiles...] When it comes to making a decision, one thing I know to be true is that our intuitions are NEVER wrong. It's only when we second guess and or ignore it that we soon realize that we should've listened. I'd like to encourage you to follow more closely to your intuitions (perfect life guides). You'll be glad you did. Dreams are symbolic, not exact. I'm a dreamer. I'm in my 40s and I still dream (weekly). When I was younger, I would approach my mother with a new dream every week. My mother said, "perhaps you should study the dreamers in the bible." Once I began reading up and studying the dreamers in the bible such as Joseph, and Daniel. Which led me to Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Job, St. Paul, and St. John. What I begin to take notice was shapes, patterns, numbers, and symbols. Then I got a dream interpreter book and begin to log my dreams and eventually, I was able to interpret my dreams and in many cases my friends and family. But I don't volunteer that because I don't want to come across as a soothsayer. I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your son last year. I can only imagine how terrible this must have been for a parent. My condolences. I am a believer and I believe in what the bible teaches about death. "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten. 6 Their love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished; never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun. (Ecc. 9:5-6) Jesus in the story of Lazurus compared death to sleep..., and another- "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment". (Heb. 9:27) This is the cutoff, the mystery. Wishing you the best. Great having this conversation.

Most people, when they begin thinking seriously about the nature of time, operate with the assumption that 'time' is an actual existent. This is understandable because that assumption is baked into our language. Lots of sentences contain explicit references to the temporal concept. In all the rest references to the temporal concept are implicit. We all learned in school that every sentence has a tense. Could it be that the reality of time is contained entirely in the thinking process? I say yes. As soon as one internalizes that understanding the mysterious nature of time evaporates completely and with the mystery go all temporal paradoxes. To put it another way there is only stuff and that stuff is moving. From this fact the thinking process synthesizes the temporal concept. It does this as a way to simplify tracking the movements of vast amounts of stuff. A 'day' is just a very efficient way to say one revolution of the Earth. The clock's hands do exactly the same job for everything that's moving. If any reader still believes that time is 'real' then tell me what it's made of. lol

@@jd35711 This question is asked using a language consisting of words and their definitions contained in a dictionary. This language framework that humans are accustomed to, is an imaginary system of reference. Humans interact with the physical world (earth, plant, other humans or object) as well as with abstract concepts such as money, honor etc., by so called dimensions based on a measurement system of units of numbers. These interconnected systems are conceived by a biological brain. Time in this context is fluid and can and often morphs into an infinite variety, limited only by imagination. In this situation, one can easily answer this question, if anything is possible, why not an invention of a societal-time, since clocks are already in use. The dynamics of expression are verified in the physical realm through experiments, engineering, mathematics and construction. Since humans, their dictionaries, the universe and the energies are all a closed loop of exchanges with no beginning or end in sight, one can continue to assert “anything that can be conceived can and might happen”, either here on earth or on the dark side of the moon when lit.

@@edholohan Simulation of what? And what simulates that which is simulating our world and us? ... See? all such overly anthropocentric and limited thoughts and imaginations show how primitive we still are. Simulation is a concept in the language that only has meaning where there is an absolute reality that can be "relatively" simulated. Also, the epistemology of simulation is rather limited, as for simulation measurement is the key, and measurement is always mathematical in our modern approach, but mathematics in general as Wittgenstein states is not truly real in a sense that numbers won't grow on trees. The world is an analog world, and numbers as discrete conceptual objects are only there to help us make sense of the world through such linguistic medium. However, that does not mean that the 'reality' itself should necessarily be limited to our own interpretations of it, far from it.

Space and time are consequences “the field”. The field fills the Universe and limits the passage of energy through it to the speed of light, and by that process causes and regulates time. The field creates space, but it is the passage of energy through the field and the presence of masses of energy that create the substance of reality. Functionally the matter in the Universe is an Energy Emulsion, Quanta of Energy contained and separated by the Field. David Gross’s explanation of the nature of Nucleus of Protons and Neutrons demonstrates this concept perfectly, except that he hasn’t quite got to the reality that it is the Field that encapsulates and contains the surging energy of the Quarks and the Strong Nuclear Force Energy. It is the sum of the Quarks and the Strong Nuclear Force by his description that ARE the mass of the Particles, the final step towards full appreciation of the Unity is in realizing that the process of containment, just as the Field regulates the speed of light and the passage of particles through the field, that impart the energy to the Field that produce Gravity in the form of a Field Energy Intensity Gradient that proportionally from the Field Energy of Deep Space to the Boundary Energy of Matter Particles is in fact Gravity experienced as the square of the distance apart they are. So close. Just not quite there yet. What was the creation moment of the Universe? It was a moment when Infinte Dimensionless Energy spontaneously transitioned to Field Energy, and Dynamic Energy became finite, immersed as an emulsion in an Energy Field. Bang. Just like that. From Nothing to Everything in an Instant.

Might the "now" moment be how decoherence is expressed in the time dimension of space-time? So, in space we experience solid matter (as opposed to the wave it emerged from) and in time we experience the "now". The implication would be that time is emergent from mass, not fundamental. Also, the arrow of time would therefore be the result of our continuously expanding universe, which in turn "stretches" all matter, which in turn generates a continuous flow of new "now" moments. Another implication of this way of thinking is that entropy is the result of our expanding universe.

Is it possible that humans do not posses the vocabulary to explain to ourselves or eachother a “true” understanding of time enough so that we can effect change in time and space beyond the phenomenological and experiential aspects we perceive using not just our innate and natural senses but the passing of information as it “evolves” and new ideas are formed to perform experiments? For example, to throw a rock in a pond and watch the ripples as an opposite reaction to an action as it seems to “move forward” but not backwards. Maybe it is just enthropic action and has nothing to do with “time” as we perceive it but knowing it maybe can only be understood using other means like mathematics. The “truth”, or as close as we can get to it seems to be that we want “time” to be the same as we perceive it but we know from Einstein it is not and in fact “time as we think we know it, or to the best of our ability now is that it is relative. We must keep exploring this universe. We must get off this planet and break the suicide pact some humans don’t know they are involved. Those that have this hold on the limited amount of “time” our species exists need to change the power structure so we can save our humanity from total annihilation before this universe ends or at least our planet has another extinction level event. Hopefully this will happen so we can truly answer, or get closer then we are now to a somewhat real understanding of how, what, when, where and the ultimate question of why this universe exists. Time may just be a figment of our imagination but for a simple purpose. Survival. The relative nature of time from one atom to the next is infinite is it not? Who gets to decide beyond the universe how time is relative from one object to another? And if so or not then the existence of how time can sometimes be, is immaterial. Why does it matter? Why do we care? I think we should for no other reason than the curiosity and the nature of our being to be curious should keep trying to find out. With that said, “time” doesn’t exist per say. “Time” from a philosophical standpoint is just a word. The etymology can be traced back. The meaning in the end only matters as a cultural factor to get on with our daily lives. Has anyone bothered to ask if a seven day week even exists? Why not 8 days? The perceived patterns of our solar system matter to our bodies for survival just like it matters to every organisms on this planet we know of a and have studied. But the deeper questions are a fathom of a hot sticky mess that maybe only math and those brave enough to dream and dare themselves as well as others to go beyond the impossible like Einstein and Oppenheimer and experiment. Maybe just the beauty of discover will be all we get. Even if we could pierce reality or fold space and time to travel somewhere else why would we do that? What would the purpose be exactly? Survival? Fitness points? Resources to bring back to earth for what? So Hollywood can make more movies and more money?

what is time ? if one consider charge (i mean electric charge ) point distributions and discrete points in space , since universe did not have beginning and thus not an end , and by space i mean a two perpendicular planes , which can be represented by two matrix variables M(x1) and M(x2) ; one can understand that each plane has two spatial dimensions . which once described by only one temporal variable , can indicates that , variations in the distribution of charge in each of these two planes , each having two spatial dimensions , can be understood as , for each temporal boundary , despite variations in each of the other two spatial dimensions , the mutual axis ( spatial dimension ) , which results in internally temporal , relative continuity ; to emerge as , the surrounding being relatively non-continuous ( thus relatively empty ) . once one consider many of these internally more continuous , charge distributions ( distinguishable from their neighboring almost empty space ) , since charge distribution existence , is a self causal phenomena , which at each instance , spatial variations in electric charge distribution is equivalent to emergence of magnetic force ; if one consider the electric charge distribution in 2-surface , if one consider the magnetic force distribution in 2-surface , one can argue , that , in the spatial regions , there is an equilibrium between these two phenomena , a regionally temporal ( and distinguishable region from its surrounding ) manifests . this notion can be regarded as internal clock of that region. due to internal coherence in the pattern of that ( magnetic force - electric charge | phenomena ) , the relative , various spatially distinct coherent regions , with respect to each other , since have various ( angular , orientation of their internal equilibrium ) , results in , the emergence of , the phenomena of occurrence of relative dynamics. this is the manifestation of external clock. each internal coherent ( equilibrium of electric charge - magnetic force ) , can be regarded as a region such as: an atom a molecule a bulk of atom-molecules ( in the form of gas - liquid - solid ) the formulation of this perspective can be simulated , in f(M(x1) ,M(x2) | N(x1) , N(x2) ) = some parameter related to charge distribution in space , as one instance of universe . such that M(x1) and M(x2) are electric charge observables ( parameters ) and N(x1) and N(x2) are magnetic force observables ( parameters ) . and the time operator over this function ( realization of spatially coherent regions ) ; as the full model. time operator can be defined as what is defined in my compendium in mathematics , which is : observation of f( M(x1)-N(x1) , M(x2)-N(x2) ) , as f( ai,bi) function construction by interpolation ; and then placing multiples of electric charge- value representations , as inputs ; and magnetic force-value representations of ( multiples of a parameter known as ? ) , and performing transpose operation to get f*(ai,bi) , and re-interpolating. such that , recursive such time -operator , reaches back to the original f( , | , ) . such f ( , | , ) is the closed form modeling of a region of space-time. in this modeling : M(x1) , M(x2) , N(x1) , N(x2) , can be rearranged such that parameters such as , relative electric susceptibility - relative magnetic susceptibility , can be formulated as observables . this f( , | , ) , is postulated to obey e.m=1/{v=c} ^2 , equation , in such a way that , c is the internal dynamic speed of the region. once the v is equal to c , the f( , | , ) is the equation of a wave (E-M) . once the v is not equal to c , the f( , | , ) , is the equation of a particle. one can notice that , parameters like e , m ( electric permittivity and magnetic permeability ) and their relative counterparts , related to electric susceptibility and magnetic susceptibility , can not only be rearranged from M(x1) , M(x2 ) , N(x1) and N(x2 ) , but also are , orientationally and angularly , parameters , with respect to a universal spatial coordinate .

For time dilation is always accompanied with distance constriction and distance constriction will increase the concentration of chemical elements, which will lead to accelerated chemical and biochemical reactions thus accelerated ageing process. Hence, time dilation and distance constriction will both ensure that the returning twin is as young/old as his brother who stayed on Earth.

You're still tied to the fallacy that space is absolute so you imagine length contraction is the same thing as your idea of distance constriction and that's just not true. Just as the astronaut notices nothing wrong with his measure of time and space (because there isn't), he would notice something wrong that you're not seeing about your measure of space and time. And it's not an imaginary mental exercise - we've confirmed the effects with high speed, high precision clocks in space.

@@Ni999 Space is as relative or as absolute as time is relative or absolute. And chemistry does not care about inertial frames. For chemistry it is irrelevant: the experimenter observes and calculates to what's happening to both twins. So if the two twins are at Cape Canaveral, in a biochemistry lab, and their chemistry parameters are (continually) measured as one of the twins is preparing to enter the rocket that will catapult him toward Alpha Centaur at 75% of the speed of light and back in 4 years, the experimenter will continually observe parameters of the traveling and domestic twin as time allegedly slows down on the ship (and the length constricts correspondingly). What experimenter sees is that concentrations of compounds responsible for ageing are higher in the body of the traveling twin than his brother on Earth. For if that is not correct, then by the same token there is no time dilation on the ship as seen by the experimenter on Earth. There cannot be half-truth.

@@Burevestnik9M730 Atomic clocks say that atoms absolutely care about relative frame differences. Odd that atoms do and so do the rest of the atoms and molecules in the spacecraft holding the clocks that have proved that yet you insist that the rules suddenly change for chemistry. The only reason that the twin paradox is discussed is because it's easier to imagine, it's not actually a paradox. One twin has accelerated to fly away, and turned around by decelerating and accelerating again, and then decelerating to land. Special relativity does not apply to accelerating frames of reference. Here's the real version of the paradox - both twins appear to be in identical spaceships on parallel paths and they pass each other because they are heading in opposite directions. They have big picture windows to observe each other and have arranged to so when they pass. They are passing at a rate close to the speed of light. Each one sees the other and both experience the same things and come to the same conclusions - his ship is shorter than mine and his light clock (they each had one) is running slow, and my ship and my time are unchanged. Further, he must be the only one in motion, none of my senses or instruments can determine that I'm moving - I was asleep and woke up on this ship that appears to be floating alone in deep space. That's the real paradox. And that's all that they will ever know, unless one of them goes through acceleration and turns around to meet up with the other. And the one who turned around and caught up with his brother will be younger. No special chemistry rules are going to change that nor are they going to invalidate the the thousands of ways observed millions of times that both special and general relativity seems to be exactly how spacetime and everything in it works. Magnets exist because special relativity is a real thing. GPS works only because corrections for special relativity (satellite speed compared to yours) and general relativity (time dilation due gravity differences) are taken into account. If the spacetime you occupy at the moment you are reading this compressed or expanded or oscillated you would never know it. You would have no chemistry tests to detect it. And yet we have interferometers that measure it happening. Your argument is about what you insist biochemistry would do in a thought experiment that has never occurred. Mine is based observed facts and the best explanations we have for them, and I kindly think that you are unaware of the existing data. The twin paradox is a teaching aid for what we've already observed, designed to help beginners start to grasp the subject. If it violated chemistry then our observations would have never occurred in the first place. (edited because of a bad autocorrect, any remaining typos I own)

Chemistry slipped the mind of Einstein. Analogy: Zeno paradox. According to this "paradox", the man would never move from the initial position A when contemplating to get to B position. It just dawned on me the other day that a thousand years and a single day happen at the same time in different places in the universe. It's simple (observed) general relativity. Time slows down and distance contracts because of gravity where there is a lot of matter. Conversely, time speeds up and distance expands where there is no matter in outer space. This eliminates the need for dark matter since time speeds up in the outer spiral arms of a galaxy where there is not nearly as much matter. It eliminates the need for dark energy where space expands in outer space where there is no matter. Another result of general relativity is that billions of years pass by in outer space (13 billion years) at the same time as thousands of years pass by where we are inside of the Milky Way galaxy. ...! Conclusion: The time it took for Creation and since Creation in the Bible is absolutely true!

Loved this interview. Yet what David says that spacetime has to be a block universe and the brain causes the illusion in a biological way to a moment of now is just his preference, as Robert tries to point to as well. It is mysterious and makes in no way sense, just as much as an actual shared now doesn't make sense in our current GR framework (it does in QM however). So either GR has to accommodate to our human reality, or according to David our human reality needs to accommodate to GR mathematical physics. However: mathematics can be transformed into hyperplanes etc. But the knowledge that we all share a now at this moment cannot, for if this were not the case for all of us at this moment, this would imply solipsism and would render all people around us as mere zombies, illusions of consciousness which are actually not concious. And this can NEVER be the conclusion. Being human should be primary for a human, in my opinion, and denying it to other people should be illegal almost.

Time is a faculty of mind. Not like the 5 senses or memory, but it has something to do with the linguistic mind. The basis of language is the associative faculty of mind. The faculty that associates a sound with an animal or other entity. Taken to its ultimate meaning it classifies this as that or this is that. The impression of change: aging, motion, discovery; the evidence that our 5 senses present to us is real. But some of the things of the senses are presented by "things in themselves" and others by self-reflecting or self-referring things. Heat as presented by the sun or fire or lava is real. Is a shadow real? What about a reflection in a mirror? The illusion of water presented by a mirage, a rainbow are they real? Reality is not readily available to human beings. What is real is real sequentially and contingently. Death is not real till it happens. It seems to me that mirrors, shadows, rainbows and mirages are not illusions. They are not false impressions of reality. It seems to me that they are impressions of our limited capability of apprehending reality. A clock is an illusion. It is a false impression of time, it is our own mind's reflection of nature. A mirror reflects nature. Language reflects our mind reflecting nature - it is a false impression of reality. If time does exist, what mirror can hold its reflection long enough for our eyes to see its impression?

I know what it is. But it's hard to explain. But i'm gonna try to explain it in a theory. You are conscious. Your own zero point. And everything around you no matter what has also it's zero point. But because we have distance in between those two points the information has to travel a certain distance to connect to eachother. And because of that distance that what has given of information. Is already in another place than it whas before. while the other point precieve that what has given of information. Is still at that point that it precieve to be. But it's not because that information hasn't reached the point of perspective. And this is how time realy is: what you precieve in your perspective. Doesn't exist enymore because of the distance in between. But still happening to you, because you can precieve the information that has given of traveling that distance. And here is the freaky part (don't read if you're scared to be alone!): if the two zero points of perspective don't touch eachother one of the two points doesn't realy exist. And because you are your own zero point with matter in between. You will never touch another zero point. And for that. You are alone in the presence. And you react to what happend in the past.

Einstein showed the world how to adjust all the numbers in an experiment, except for light velocity (the protected CONTANT), using transform equations. When the numbers work, it is forgotten that there is STILL a NON-TRANSFORMED reality left behind, and you changed everything BUT light speed. Light speed DOES NOT look relative to the observer in an experiment. The math makes it look that way. Think about that! -RELATIVE TO THE OBSERVER! Time is your brain thinking about a past and a future. Dimensions 1 and 2 don't exist without 3, and 4 is just your thinking.

I think the problem is because we separate events by meaning, we assume time itself segments itself along those lines also. This is most likely not true. The only thing that transcends the “motion” of time is human subjective experience which remains constant throughout . If I could take a guess, I believe time maybe just an overlapping of different dimensions simultaneously. The distant past is literally spatially distant which is why we have the impulse to call it “distant “. Also I believe that if the past were truly evolving into the future, you would think that all of reality would be unfolding in front of our eyes in a motion going forward sort of like a curtain opening

He has an 'appropriate' name - GROSS! What an appalling Academic Public Purse Parasite (APPP)! He lies that time exists, solely to grovel to the Einsteinisn lie that time exists!! TIME DOES NOT EXIST, OR MOVE!! TIME IS DISTANCE, NOTING MORE!! Einstein 'CONCOCTED' the Space-Time lie because he could NOT demonstrate time exists or moves!! The lying catholics in 325AD 'CONCOCTED the same 'Blessed-Trinity' fraud because the 'god' lie could not be true; it is INVENTING a further more inexplicable lie to allegedly explain the original lie!! That's why this APPP threw in 'String-Theory' (with its attendant '11' dimensions bullshit), to cover his blatant lying!! The smirk on this APPP's face all through the interview shoes he uses it as a weapon to lie and he has siphoned off taxpayers money his entire bogus career pushing this TOTAL bullshit!! @@GlennFloyd Interesting, I thought the same exact thing myself. The only thing that can exist is the present subjective experience And if time Truly existed, I think we should be aware of it somehow like we are aware of light which seems to be transcendent of time somehow. Time is just a word and I think we have a bad habit of letting words trick us into believing that it ( labels) is the absolute definition of something. Even our memories of the so-called past are present subjective experiences

Time is one in 2 forms. Body time, Universal time. Body times is moving present past and future for only body. Universeal time is always present. Space time and earth time is same. Speed and mass has nothing to do with time. Time is creator and destroyer. Time is fundamental. Universe is not expanding too. Light and sound disappear in time Everything disappear in time.

Francesco P / No. It doesn't "pass for a rock", because it doesn't exist at all for anything. In the Universe there's only moving matter. "Time" doesn't exist as a real material entity.
