If this isn't the greatest attestment of the Love a Father has for his decreased Son, then I don't know what is. RIP Paul & David Kossoff.

So harrowing watching David impersonating his beloved younger son, the love is there for all to see, and so too the sadness of a father who could not help. It makes me weep.

The fact that he asked about his mother, the fact that he tried to show hospitality shows his sheer humanity in the desperate state that he was in.

How is it that something can be so god awful heart wrenching while at the same time be so beautiful? Absolute love, that’s how. As I watch this I get tears for Paul and his dad, but selfishly I get them thinking of my brother who died many years ago and how my dad every year there after, toasted my brother at the annual family camp out. When my dad was no longer able to attend he passed off the task to his eldest son.

It's just heartbreaking to watch. It hits hard for me, as I was in Paul's shoes for a long time. I had many close calls, legal trouble, broken relationships with everyone. My dad was probably the only one who stood by me and tried to help. Thankfully, i cleaned up and got to spend a couple of good years with him before he passed away in 2017.

I remember attending one of David Kossoffs meetings in Glasgows Cooper Institute on the the south side . I was deeply moved even back then in my teens he poured his heart and soul out to the audience talking about his son I'll never forget it very moving.

Thankyou Mr Kossoff. Please know that Pauls music defines emotion in any form of art. He trancends the artform with a natural talent with a spiritual connection to draw tears from his listeners. I suppose what were talking about is really the point of making music with such a sublime talent. It was good to learn how his talent was nurtured. His affinity with the blues is telling. I think for the pure natural ability and talent. For the visceral heart on sleeve, individuality, Paul was the best ever on that scale❤❤❤

I am writing about working with David Kossoff and have just pulled up this film. It moves me as much as when I saw it first in Edinburgh and then when I presented David and The Late Great Paul in Barrow in Furness so many years ago.

Very touching and emotional. Sadly many at times, the highly talented ones are prone to some weaknesses and end up dead with this intoxicating addiction

The Kossoff's were great friends of my Uncle Rennie Briggs and his family, particularly my Cousin Roger who was on the fringe of the music business and a great friend of Pauls. I met David and his family on several occasions when I was a child visiting my Uncle and his family at their big house in Epping Forest and David was always such a riot of fun. It is so very sad to see the pain and heartache that the downward spiral of his younger son, he obviously loved so much, took such a great toll on him, and yet he was able to offer such a touching heart wrenching and detailed eulogy to Paul . RIP Paul and David.

Paul and his father should be remembered together as one. David's grief and love for his lost son was as great as the gift that Paul gave us through his music. Respect to David Kossoff. Someday this will be a powerful play about a father and son.

A lot of musicians feel they need drugs play their instrument well, and especially touring. Functioning addicts at worst, are ready to play as long as their drug connection is consistent. Some bands even bring a connection while touring. It sounds like this guy had everything , but Paul’s drug of choice was not for him. Not at all, he was hooked on a drug that probably made him nod off totally useless..Makes me wonder if Paul was the type of person who even though he was an addict ,would refuse to do amphetamines at all cost.

@mickcorbett6724 Did I hurt your feelings? Who cares what you think. I have my opinions about it. He clearly was holding events about his story. And I'm sure that these events centers. Just let him use them for FREE and setup all the chairs and tables for FREE. And then let people in for FREE. And he paid X amount of dollars for event Insurance. These events have to be covered with INSURANCE If people are in attendance. But you can see it was a multiple location event. And he didn't make any money. Ok Einstein dream on.
