I took his CD, "Christori's Dream" with me to Iraq. I think I wore it out. I listened to it every night, to drown out the sounds of war. To this day, it takes me back, and I cannot tell you how often it made life a lot easier. Even better, all my soldiers thought it was just too stupid music, I was just too wierd, so they never asked to borrow the CD.

Your soldiers were probably all listening to that horrible, violent, hateful and totally foul mouthed rap/hip hop crap that has no meaning. Rap music pieces will not last. Within weeks/months, those "songs" will be long forgotten in favor of more of the same trash they replaced. This right here is good music and will, for years and years, be played and enjoyed by those who treasure music that touches one's heart and soul. This is eternal. Thank you for your service, sir, and welcome home. Semper Fi, from an old Jarhead ( USMC '79 - '83).

The New Age era of music is so underappreciated. Lanz, Enya, Yanni, they're all so great (still to this day), but so few people know them. Even Enya is fading out. It's so sad to think about. I grew up on all of them. Love them so much.

My daughter was introduced to this song around 1993. She heard it again around 1997. My husband bought David Arkenstone (I believe) around 2000. I restarted piano lessons in 2014 (age 60), bought the sheet music 2017. Worked on it off and on (was too difficult at first) so I put it "on hold". Brought it back out Jan. 2022 I believe. Finally mastered it this week March 11, 2023. It's not perfect but it's now one of my signature pieces and I can play it for friends privately in my home or at nursing homes. I love it!

Is the arrangement you have the same as this youtube piece? Is it in D minor? I want to purchase it, but I don't want a different arrangement, but this one that we are listening to above. I LOVE it. It'll probably take years to master but it is worth it. Good for you for tackling it. You give me hope. It'll take me at least a year and probably more, but I WILL learn it. I just want to make sure I get this arrangement. Thank you.

I always picture one of those music box ballerinas coming to life. I see her stumbling in the beginning, figuring out how each limb relates to the other, and slowly moving to her own rhythm. She dances with an excitement for life until her her pin turns back into place and she makes her way back to her pedestal until someone winds her again. I feel like that could make an amazing dance, but it probably is already out there already in some form or another. Either way, it is a beautiful visual.

My grandson is 8 years old, and he's loved this since he was barely able to walk. He's...busy...and I wanted to find something soothing for him. He sometimes sits at my piano playing what comes out of his fingers. It doesn't sound like anything other than his thoughts, but I will never quell that. He wants lessons and I want to find a piano for him so he can do that, but it would have to be an electric piano. But he just loves this.

I was born in 82. I've had this song in my head since my dad first bought the CD sometime in early 90's and I fell in love. It stands as the foundation for my appreciation for music. This was the first song without words that moved me and set my expectations for all music that followed. This version in particular is a treasure. The passion, the inflection, the genius that is this song makes it one in a million.

I just came back to it 13 years later and playing it brought back so many memories of when I started playing piano and just childhood nostalgia in general. This piece is a special one to me and still makes my mom cry when I visit her and play a bit. Cristofori's Dream is about the inventor of the piano, Bartolomeo Cristofori, who was a harpsichord builder. ... PERFECT!! If this was written by Betthovan, perhaps as a gift for one of his admirers (like fur Elise was) it would have gone down in history as one of the greatest short pieces ever done and would still be played today. Its almost on a par with the Moonlight Sonata's second movement, but without the orchestra. But still, its really stunning and what would it sound with an orchestra in the background during the bigger parts?!?!?!?!?
