I have followed David Lee Roth throughout his career. Years ago through magazines TV appearances and nowadays mobile phone. He takes every negative and turns it into a positive. His personality kicks ass and I feel like that's known him through the years. Been a long time fan and have seen him in concert. Best showman ever. He is gorgeous inside and out and it's got it goin on. Just love David Lee Roth!

The nobody "critics" scoffed and sneered, and The Mighty Van Halen roared on and on until Eddie died, and will live on for all time as the greatest rock band that ever existed.

I used to think he was insane in the 1980s. But the older I get, the more sense David Lee Roth makes.

What they talk about in the beginning explains perfectly why the Real Van Halen is in a different game than Van Hagar: they were despised by the critics and loved by the people. The real people. The common man. They made music from their hearts and they were convicted about it. Think of the early Elvis performances, or the Seattle scene before the "grunge" label got affixed to it, or the Sex Pistols in London. Those were blood stirring, urgent, on-edge performances buzzing with a little bit of danger. You just HAD to get a taste of that vibe and you couldn't stop. Compare it with Van Hagar: the music was made for children. Lowest common denominator. All result oriented, businessmen making music which is exactly what Hagar is. A great businessman. But a mediocre artist. The pure spirit and tone was sucked out of it. Sad because the Classic Van Halen was one of the greatest teams ever. To think about where they could've ascended post-1984 is incredible.

"David lee Roth hidden in my closet" I first learned of Vanhalen in 1983 when i was 14 yrs old, and loved the music...When i was 15 yrs old i seen a poster of him with half his body in the water and his whole chest exposed and he was giving a very seductive look...I purchased the poster because yes i was attracted to him but also to try and feel like a typical teenager, so i taped it inside my closet wall behind my hanging clothes (so my dad wouln't find it) and when i was hanging out in my room i would slide open my closet door and slide my clothing over and ogle at him...My dad found it!!...Bye bye David Lee Roth hidden in my closet 😕.... My dad wasnt involved in any religion

I know everybody assumes because he acts silly in his interviews or his little out there that he’s either stoned or had some alcohol but I have to say I think it’s just his personality. He’s just a little different sure after his shows I’m sure it was a big party, but I don’t think for most of his interviews that he has anything of substance on board.
