They go overboard on safety, we will never see the hilux here for example. In 2024 (I may be wrong about this one since I could not find a source I liked) was saying that one safety requirement (there were so many but this one angered me the most) it has to have a computer console screen for a backup camera. Best damn vehicle I ever had was a 2000 Nissan Xterra 4x4 stick shift with no extra crap, I worked in -62 degreee weather 9months a year (other few months was like a short summer lol and my vehicle did 5 years there… drove it back home and all) the only problem was my clutch would freeze, so I would have to start my vehicle, pull the clutch back with my hand after starting it, wait 30 min, and I could drive to work with a semi frozen clutch lol when I would shift I would just press the clutch all the way down, shift, keep my foot a couple inches higher where it would start to grab and when I felt the clutch touch my foot I knew it was time to pump gas 😂
