To David: Epilepsy is not contagious, but it can be spread through genes (or "somewhat indirectly contagious"). For example, someone has epilepsy and has a child. Their child could also develop epilepsy because of genetics. To Taylor, Stephanie, and Lily: Epilepsy can be controlled with medications (but someone may continue to have seizures even with medications, if that is the case, then the strength of the medications have to be increased), but you cannot control if you are born with it or not! Lily's parents could or could not have epilepsy and passed it on to her through genes. Or Lily could have a genetic mutation with a mutated gene!

This is exactly what people think about people with epilepsy. They think that it is somthing that can be controlled, a mental illness, can not be controlled, others think that people are doing it on purpose, some people think that people with epilepsy are possed with demons and evil spirits. Epilepsy is still a medical condition and a neurological dissorder. It is very insulting to people with epilepsy, including myself that people will think like that,. When people with anyother dissibility is somehow and someway not looked open as different and inferior. A person with Down Syndrome once said to me right to my face that she is not used to me just because I have epilepsy and nothing else. That was enough for her. I was so pissed that i felt like hitting her so hard that all her teeth would fall out. But i didnt, instead i just said "you know i have no problem with you having Down Syndrome and even if I did, that means that I am no better than you to think less of me and that you are scarred of me because of my condition, than i am no better than you to say that you want to stay away from me because I have epilepsy to begin with. In other words if I had any problem with her dissability, then i would not be any better than her for her "not being used to me" for having epilepsy to beging with. Do not ever use the "she has a dissability" card with me. That is both a convient and piss poor excuse. Other people acted just like David. A pastor, for example thought that I was having a seizure at church a couple of times. Of all times he choose were on Christmas and Easter. But you know what, i thought pastors were supposed to be carring, empathic, nice. NOT DOUCHEBAGS. I have epilepsy and my first seizure was seen at my elementary school in front of my classmates I first started having my seizures in the 4th grade and I was diagnosed with epilepsy in the 4th grade. Also, it is kind of Stephanie's fault for leaving her gate open. Basically she encouraged David to come into her backyard. If she didn't want David to come into the backyard, she should have kept the gate closed. David is also incorrect in saying that seizures are similar to shaking like an electric drill as this is not true at all. Seizures look more like violent convulsions similar to when someone is electrocuted or shot with a Taser gun. Edit: David is correct in saying that seizures are similar to shaking like an electric drill, as sometimes when you are using an electric drill to drill in a tough nail, the drill will shake. I thought a lot about this. My apologies in my previous information about David's comment.
