@goldie0800 They played the scherzo from Beethoven's Spring Sonata as an encore! It was awesome, I saw it on a video my brother has of the whole thing.

7:15 Oistrakh: "Isn't it sweet?" Richter: "Indeed!"

Is your comment a twit, are you being sarcastic, it seems? I wish I understood.

I don't really like this performance. I absolutely don't dislike the two musicians, however, the way Richter plays is so constrictive it forces Oistrakh to crank out an impossibly loud and raucous sound, and it is so much unlike him in every possible way.

It would take time and thought to address your issue, but you're hitting the right nail. They are both superb, but mismatched. I'm sure the raucous sound is the recording's fault in Alice Tully, not theirs (compare the good sound of the Beethoven 6th in Vladivostok!). Richter was a maverick, Oistrakh, a Soviet genius, or, better, a genius Soviet. Then there's the question of insulated, isolated Russians playing Brahms. I don't mean to be coy; there's a lot to say, but I haven't thought it through yet.
