Glad I found another video where some one is talking to experienced magicians, and in know way helping beginners decide what to buy. Thanks to you I will not buy Penns product, saved me a penny or 2.

This is not suitable for a beginner magician AT ALL. I do have some reviews coming up for great beginner effects though.

when you do the cut for the 1st person it must be a black card for the trick to work? (3black output possible, 2 red possible) or u can switch the colour for to one u cut to and the one u count to, I hope it’s understandable

I bought this. I had to watch the acaan math section 3 times on the tutorial and only now I'm starting to understand it. Im good with my 6 times table its just knowing what to do next was a bit confusing. I definitely need to get more comfortable with it before i even attempt to perform it.

Absolutely. It’s a lot of information for anyone who isn’t familiar with this kind of effect. It will take a lot of practice but from the perspective of the spectator, it’s a perfectly fair miracle card trick.

Hi ya, I've had the 52 to 1 deck since it first came out (and only just bought a new one) It could be my most favourite trick . This sounds equally good. Many thanks.

Scott - Great review. Personally - I would never use a gimmicked deck that requires mental calculations and practice. If I am going to put in that kind of work, then I want a deck that they can take examine and also take home with them when we are done.
@EverythingMagicPro99
@EverythingMagicPro99 Жыл бұрын
For the most part, this deck should always appear completely normal to the point that a spectator wouldn’t feel the need to examine the deck. The mental workings, however, I do understand. Very few people will practice this to the point they can comfortably perform it let alone perform it well. People keep saying they trust your reviews. I’m going to check if I have you included on my channel page as a “recommended channel”. I’ll add you if you’re not already on there.

@@EverythingMagicPro99 I have never even noticed that exists on youtube! LOL. Thanks for pointing that out. I will have to update that. I do agree with you that a well-structured gimmicked deck effect should hopefully not arouse suspicion.

I've watched his video many many times and there are so many errors in his explanation of the ACAAN. I just cannot get it to perform! Soo confusing as his explanation does not compute - even though I am following him step by step - it doesn't work for me!!
@EverythingMagicPro99
@EverythingMagicPro99 Жыл бұрын
Yes, as I say in the review, it is quite difficult with a lot of mental calculations during the performance. I’ll be honest, as much as I consider this a miracle, I still haven’t performed it simply because easier methods get just as strong reactions. I do plan to try performing it but it’s not something I look forward to 😅

@@EverythingMagicPro99 the first part is easy, but the second just doesn't land with me. I have followed step by step, but can't get it right! I have 3 decks now, just to make sure I have captured everything, but no cigar!! I wish his video was better in explaining a few more examples as I just can't do it, even by looking at the crib - sooo confusing!. Thanks for replying :)

Does the bottom of the box have to be visible in order to perform the trick? I don't think this is spoiling anything as the trailer essentially says that the card box is a gimmick. And it's set up in his line of sight during the taped performance in the trailer. Hoping that its there as a reference, but not needed.
@EverythingMagicPro99
@EverythingMagicPro99 Жыл бұрын
No, the box doesn’t have to be in view. It’s not a gimmicked box exactly but included in the package is a guide you can stick on the box as a point of reference during your performance. It’s subtle and not necessary but there for quick access. If you memorise everything, you don’t need to the box.
@PositivityGaming

You probably want the box visible when you are first doing it and if you only do it occasionally.

can i repeat trick in front of same audience and will there be a different card chosen?
@EverythingMagicPro99
@EverythingMagicPro99 Жыл бұрын
No. There are 5 possibilities of the thought of cards. To perform it to the same group twice, the first two spectators would need to see two different cards from the second two. Possible but VERY unlikely.

loved 52 to 1, glad that is basically the same from that effect, but bummer is more mental math gymnastics. in that case I'd rather deck switch 52 to 1 and proceed with asi winds acaan as I've put in the work towards getting that math down quick, can't keep devoting time to the same effects with so many variations thanks for saving me cash, you're a great alternative to magic orthodoxy 🍻

The wording and routine is quite specific. It will take quite a lot of practice but if you’re willing to put the practice in I think it’s possible to get the correct cards every time. It just depends if you’re able and willing to do the mental workings during performance.

thank for the video, i didnt buy it, i'm not 100% sure how it works BUT i could say that if you want sth more easy that is kinda like this just buy THE 52 TO 1 DECK and THE MASTERMIND DECK, pretty sure this deck is the mix of two but 5 times harder to learn but yea that's my two cents

I don’t own Mastermind deck or 52 to 1 but Accumulator deck is so difficult I still haven’t tried using it a year on from reviewing it. There are lots of easier methods to a similar result but none as clean as Accumulator deck.

Great review, thanks 👍. Since I'm not familiar with the 52 to 1 deck, I have a couple questions. Can it be performed to only 1 spectator picking 1 card? Also you mention cutting to the first spectators card in the first phase. Is there a skill involved in that cut, and is it 100?
@EverythingMagicPro99
@EverythingMagicPro99 Жыл бұрын
There’s probably a way to perform it to one person but it won’t be as magical or entertaining. It’s designed to be performed to two people and that’s really how it should be performed to be effective. There’s no real skill involved in cutting. Two cards are crimped. You cut to one or the other to reveal specific cards. Personally, the more difficult thing is the mental workings that needs to be done during the routine. There’s a lot to remember and it will take quite a bit of practice to get looking good but if you’re willing to put the practice in it really is a miracle card trick.
@PositivityGaming
@PositivityGaming Жыл бұрын
I would not perform this for less than two spectators and frankly it hits even better for 3 or more. When you have the first two spectators look briefly (and it is brief) at the deck to think of a card you ideally want to ask a third person for a number. The order is kinda...marginally important...as it functions as a mild distraction for people who might notice...something at this point, as well as this is a point and there is a bit of info you will get from this as well.

It takes a good 5-10 seconds to mentally calculate what needs to be calculated (there are a few steps you need to do), and it needs to be done under fire when there is no reason to pause and have to think. It's my opinion that 99% of buyers will not be using the ACAAN feature of the deck, they'll just use it for the original routine. To be fair, that's still worth the purchase. I'm personally disappointed, I can't see myself ever being able to learn how to do the steps in my head while also engaging people without pause and also not mess things up. Still hoping David Penn puts out an updated tutorial that shows I'm being a dunce and that it's easier than I'm understanding it to be, but I doubt that will ever happen.
@EverythingMagicPro99
@EverythingMagicPro99 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. As I say in my review, there’s a lot going on mentally. You can absolutely perform this, it just depends if you can (or have the time to) put the effort in to studying the method. You learned to walk and talk and get through life. You can learn this, too. It just depends how hard you want to try.

I like you mate your reviews are honest, you might not get it right all the time but who does. Bottom line is the magic industry is very capitalist & full of egos back scratching each other etc. But credit where credit is due, you have to separate the artist from the art, if you know what I mean.😉
