Tang's finish actually hurts to watch, she shorterned her stroke to raise the tempo, but that made her have to take an extra half stroke. If she kept up her tempo in the last 10m, she would've taken the gold

your swimmer from HK came third. Well done. She worked very hard last year to do many events and maintain in shape. People may not be happy because she swamped a silver from 4 years ago to a bronze but she actually did very well. As for the two Australian girls they swap positions when they feel like it ( I won the 400 on Monday you have the 200 today. I won the WR last month you have the OR this month). Here Australian men team should question themselves how can they let the ponies (British ) to dominate them in 200F for the last 8 years. Where are the Thorpes Hackett etc. freestyle is their bread and butter. they should ask the ladies coach to coach the men too. He seems to know what he is doing !

It most certainly is. A shallower pool means that there’s more drag due to the fluid dynamics involved. Hence the slower swimming. One useful thing to come out of my engineering degree 😂
