Took me forever to find this song after I went to a Pre-Screening of The Gentleman, 3 days later I found this beauty. Hello my old friend, good to see you again.

Love this song, however, it is a perfect mind worm. I'll be walking and suddenly realize I'm singing "Cumberland Gap is a devil of a Gap". Dayum.

You ever felt like your story couldn't be encapsulated in clumsy words? Like you NEED something to give you the voice you needed? I live in cowboy country and I'm a gentle soul who lost so much, my son, my wife, and this feels like what I needed to explain. I don't get how else to explain.

I feel you. This song reminds me of loss and love. It reminds me you must keep going. Even when you don’t to. It’s comforting when you’re struggling. I hope you’re doing well.

Ya thing is it’s not Neil and it’s not fleetwood Mac it’s David Rawlings who is as unique an artist as the latter but I’m sure he would love the comparoson

My ancestors came through the gap with D. Boone in the 1770’s, I have a painting of it on my office wall. A different breed back then.
@tammygurl643 жыл бұрын
That's very cool!! 🙂 I wish I had genuine paintings of my ancestors from back in the day. There are some paintings hanging in the Winterthur Museum though but I've never been there. My 4th or 5th great grandfather came over from Scotland and was a colonel who fought in Revolutionary War battles in South Carolina.
