“If you wish to be the king of the jungle, you cannot just act like a king, you have to be the king. There can be no doubt. Because doubt causes chaos and one's own demise. My queen taught me that.” -What a great opening scene although the entire quote wasn’t spoken til the end.....The Gentlemen is an amazingly addictive movie. Guy Ritchie nailed it. 👏

I sat in the theater and the movie began with this song... from the first chord and a half I knew I loved this song and immediately pulled out my phone to Shazam it. I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the movie and listened to this song the rest of my way home afterwards... but made a pit stop at my dealer's place before home just to keep in tradition with the movie and this magnificent song. Lyrics Cumberland gap, it's a devil of a gap Cumberland gap, it's a devil of a gap Kiss me momma, kiss your boy Bless me well and lucky For I won't be back til' I return I'm gone to old Kentucky Cumberland gap, it's a devil of a gap That's what the scouts all tell ya Sure enough it may get tough If it doesn't kill ya, kill ya Kentucky she's a waiting on the other side Give you the fever, put the daylight in your eyes Brother John's already gone With the full-blood Cherokee maiden He made the trip in the blizzard's grip I'd rather wrestle Satan Cumberland gap, it's a devil of a gap Oh, the snow kept coming Picked her up upon his back By God, he loved that woman! Daniel stood on the pinnacle rock Lookin' up and down the mountain Took his trusty old flint-lock Daniel started shoutin', shoutin': Kentucky she's a waiting on the other side Give you the fever, put the daylight in your eyes Cumberland gap, it's a devil of a gap Cumberland gap, it's a devil of a gap Cumberland gap, it's a devil of a gap Cumberland gap, it's a devil of a gap

❓Did anyone else hearing this song for the first time think of Neil Young's Ohio? The Gentlemen got me here. The movie had a fabulously artistic opening! 😊 The song and music video is awesome!👍 I rewound the movie several times because I couldn't help but feel like the song could've been influenced by Neil Young's style. The lyrics, "four dead in Ohio..." kept resurfacing and repeating in my mind. Anyway, really great music video!!! 👍👍👍👍👍

Guy Ritchie always got the best soundtracks. Going all the way back to Lock Stock and Snatch, he finds gems and doesn't rely on cheesy hollywood stock choices that everyone else uses.
