I saw this episode in 1987 and bought his album the next day just so I could transcribe this song to play on my alto saxophone in junior high and woo the ladies. It was the first CD I ever purchased. RIP David Sanborn...

I had the wonderful fortune to see David with Hiram a few times live after this album came out. I will never forget those concerts and the boundless energy Hiram had interacting with the crowd. Thank god I was born in an era of fantastic music and was able to partake in concerts at the right time. I hope there are those in the younger generations that can appreciate the value of artistic talent like this from the past. It will never be duplicated. God bless Hiram Bullock, thank you for being part of the best time of my life.

Always happy to see vintage Sanborn on Letterman. I used to watch these episodes hoping every Friday night that Sanborn would be sitting in with the band. I'll have to dig up what I have and share soon.... Thanks again for sharing!
