I saw him do it LIVE in NYC at Thk Kitchen. The young girl I brought to the performance ran outside and disappeared! It was amazing...there were speakers all around the room!

I saw that performance also! Changed my life (or at least my idea of electronic music).

Reznor is pretty amazing IMO. I can't think of too many synth oriented / hard rock sounding artists who I would consider more interesting ( use whatever genre names you like, genres bore me.) Prodigy is as good. Lords of Acid are as good. Crystal Method did some great stuff. Front 242. etc. I imagine there's a lot of great synth oriented music on the heavy side that's at least as great or better than NIN, but I have personally heard few albums of that sort as great as Downward Spiral or Pretty Hate Machine. I also thought that NIN put on the best show I ever saw, and I have seen a lot of shows in my life.

a few years ago at the Mountain Oasis fest in October in Asheville NC in 2013. I got to see Gary Numan then NIN played after him.

In case you guys didn't know, this is the natural sound that a Pulsar emits. Hence the title of the song. Search for Pulsar sound and you'll notice the reference!
@woodlandcritterpunch6 жыл бұрын
Not true. Tudor synthesized these sounds with analog electronics. Wouldn't be surprised if he was inspired by pulsars though.
