"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise up first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these words" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18). In Greek, the word "shout" means to incite by word, to awaken, excite, spur to action. The voice of the archangel will be heard by all overcomers: "He is at the door! Come beloved! He whom you love has come to take you away." This is no discreet coming, quietly done in a corner. No! Jesus is coming with trumpet blasting, with hosts of angels, with a shout, with a cosmic cry of the archangel. The dead in Christ will arise first to meet Him in the air. What a thunderous rejoicing that will be! They will embrace Him first. Do you think they will be silent? With new bodies? Eternally redeemed and at long last home with Jesus? Beloved, they will be there rejoicing! And while they are rejoicing, He will send His angels into all the world and gather His children. What a welcome that will be.
But here is the meaning of His coming, distilled in a few words: "...and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:17). How foolish it is to argue whether we will be living on earth or in some heaven. Heaven will be wherever Jesus is! Some are so determined we will never leave this earth, that Jesus will come down to us and set up a world kingdom. All I want is this word: "So shall we ever be with the Lord."
Do you desire to ever be with the Lord? Did you know that it is also His desire to be with you? "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory..." (John 17:24). Don't be angry with the date-setters who thought they had His coming all figured out. Perhaps it was done with zeal without wisdom. There will be more books, letters, and prophecies claiming to have special revelation. Do not be moved by any of these things. Leave the times and seasons in the Father's hands - and live every day of your life as if Christ were coming within the hour. Until He comes there is much work to be done rebuilding the walls of Zion.

In 1987, David Wilkerson returned to "the crossroads of the world" to establish Times Square Church. As a pastor of the church, he faithfully led this congregation, delivering powerful biblical messages that encourage righteous living and complete reliance on God.

What an powerful message and I can’t imagine just how much closer we have to be NOW to the actual return of JESUS CHRIST since Brother David Wilkerson “alive” preached this message. Brother David is still reaping rewards in Heaven from saving souls today from his past HOLY SPIRIT LED MESSAGES. The church is NOT the 4 walls, but the church is “we who are in CHRIST JESUS” and it is INDEED a responsibility to not only just share JESUS, but to ALSO prepare for the LORD’S IMMINENT RETURN. Which “imminent” has always sounded to me like “any minute” Because GOD is who knows and only who knows this, THIS should give the right kind of healthy reverential fear, to strive to live HOLY, not perfect, but HOLY, which is to be set apart. Hallelujah and Hallelujah. I love his preaching. It blesses my soul so much. I don't have words for the awesome power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. So amazing. I love you so much Jesus. After I got saved at 7yrs. old and Baptized my Dad put me in a fundamental independent separatist baptist Christan day school. I memorized so much scripture. My church taught that tongues weren't real and miracles didn't happen anymore but I would read, especially Mark chapter 16. The Holy Spirit always told me believe it. Every word of Mark 16. I knew that teaching of gifts not being real is a lie. When I grew up. Everything I learned growing up I didn't know how it applied to life. Go to work pay your bills be responsible. Well I attended Bible college. Not to be a preacher or anything like that. All I wanted to do was get close to God. I wanted to understand how it all fit in my life. I was reading through the book of John and meditating on the Lord. I came to the part where Jesus said " any man that believeth in me these works that I do yay greater works than these he will do in my name". It made me so happy I clapped my hands and shouted I believe I believe I believe. I continued to meditate and read. I came to another part of the where Jesus said " if any man believeth every word that proceeds from my mouth out of his belly will flow fountains of living water." That was the icing on the cake. I jumped up and down danced around clapping my hands shouting to God at the top of my lungs I believe I believe I believe. When I sat down to continue to read a wind blew up from the pages of the book of John went up my nose and in my mouth. It forever changed my life.I wasn't asking for the gifts but I got them. I spoke a few words in tongues. Thought I was going nuts. I knew it was from God so I went with it. I saw people who just needed prayer. I saw people searching for salvation. I saw tumors taken. I saw double pneumonia taken. I've even seen a bunch of demons shake and tremble at the name of Jesus. It was breaking my heart to see how much God loves the human race. Wicked servants and faithful servants. Please be the faithful servant.

The Roman Catholic doctrine is that the blood of Christ is not sufficient for the forgiveness of sin because they preach that good works are also necessary, thus making the blood of Christ not efficacious. Therefore I cannot accept that there are true Christian Catholic priests as I would have to tell them the above if I met them in order to be faithful to Christ. Many RC priests have seen the truth of this and left the organisation and turned to Christ alone for the forgiveness of sin.

(Mat. 24:36) No man knows the exact day or hour of the coming of the Son of Man, yet we should be watching for the events warning us His coming is near. (Luke 21:24-28) "So when you see all these things, know that it is near..." (Mat. 24:33) What things? Once the great tribulation of the saints erupts worldwide (Mat. 24:21-22), we can be looking for our physical redemption (Luke 21:28); not before!

1 Thess 2:19 (the letter Paul had read aloud to that Thessalonian congregation) “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?“ The coming of the Lord was their hope, joy, and rejoicing in that soon-coming, in their lifetime and generation present with Jesus. 1 Thess 3:13 “so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.” Their completed transformation of their hearts to that blameless and holy state was to arrive at the coming of the Lord and his saints. That was their daily outlook as they started their day's activities. The imminence of that event, its very closeness must have been everything to them! And when did Paul tell them it was to occur? “WE shall not ALL sleep.” “WE who are alive and remain.” “All these things shall come on THIS generation.” How is it possible for the holy scriptures to be any more forcefully clearly written than this? And yet, some of YOU reading this still will not believe it!

According to 2 Thes 2:1-4, the Man of Sin (Antichrist) must reveal himself in the Temple in Jerusalem in the middle of the 70th week of Daniel (Mat. 24:15, 30-31) BEFORE the gathering up of believers at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. This proves Jesus WON'T BE COMING BACK AT ANY MOMENT. (Mat. 24:33)

I know you asked this months ago... Most movies glorify sinful lives. The Bible says by beholding we become... So we can become like Jesus, or we can become like the world. My intentions are to be ready for the Lord when he returns. Btw, I'm a 7th Day Adventist. I believe Jesus is coming soon. I was raised Baptist. I enjoy David Wilkerson's passion for the Lord.
