Surah 5:48 doesn't prove that the Bible is corrupted. It says that the book which is revealed to Muhammed is a confirmation of the previous scriptures, meaning: the Bible is true revelation from God. When it says that the Quran is a supreme authority that seems like a contradiction. How can one true revelation confirm another revelation but be a supreme authority at the same time? There are several possibilities: a) The Bible contains true revelations that are now abrogated by the Quran. b) Some (important) revelations are missing in the Bible that are now added in the Quran. c) Some revelations in the Bible may be unclear and lead to controvercies. God now makes it clear what he meant in the Quran. None of these Interpretations imply that the Bible is corrupted. So the Quran actually confirms the Bible as stated in the verse and the verse has no contradiction in itself. Your (false) interpretation that the Quran corrects a corrupted Bible would lead to a contradiction and therefore makes no sense. BUT: I have no explanation for Surah 10:94: _So if you are in doubt, [O Muḥammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters._ This verse clearly states that the Bible is an authority even for Muhammad to prove the truth of the Quran. And there was no (written) Quran until the death of the prophet. That leads to some questions: a) Did Muhammad actually receive a book from Allah? When did this happen? Then how can Allah say He already had revealed the book? c) I am told that the revelations were collected from various sources after the death of Muhammad in written form which implies that nobody knew them all. It seems very difficoult to take some memorized revelations as superior to a book like the Bible, especially when nobody knew the whole Quran - not even Muhammad, who admitted that he forgot some verses.

It should come as no surprise that Jesus's followers worshiped him in numerous occasions *The Gospels tells us Jesus was worshipped at his birth, during his ministry, after this ressurrection , before his Ascension into heaven and after his Ascension into heaven.* Matthew 2:11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and *worshiped him* Matthew 14:33 Then *those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God* John 9:32-38 38 Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and *he worshiped him* John 20:28 *Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”* Matthew 28:17 When they saw him, *they worshiped him;* Luke 24:50-53 51 While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 *And they worshiped him* These are not the claims of a mere human being , they are not even claims of a mighty prophet, these are claims only God could truly make. The second part of the verse: "... a supreme authority on them." This addendum doesn't in anyway claim the previous Scriptures (BIBLE) were corrupted. Reading the entire Surah from 5:43 - 5:48 it is very clear that these verses CONFIRMS the Torah and Gospel (injeel). HOLY BIBLE = TORAH + INJEEL (Gospel)

So since God is the final judge according to the quran and the Bible, could a mere prophet claim to be the final judge of all people? Certainly not. But that's what Jesus claims in Matthew 25:31-32 when He said: Matthew 25:31-32 31 *“When the Son of Man comes in his glory,* and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and *he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats* *Jesus goes on to say, that he will admit certain people to heaven and cast others to hell.* [isn't this something only God can do, why would a mere prophet say something like this] *Who is the Truth?* Psalm 31:5 Into Your hand I entrust my spirit; You have redeemed me, LORD, God of truth Quran 22:6 All this is because Allah, He is the Truth, Knowing that God refers to Himself as the truth, would a prophet ever call Himself the truth? Jesus does in John 14:6 where he says: John 14:6 Jesus said to him, *“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.* No one comes to the Father except through me Don't you muslims find it strange that Jesus keeps applying the names of God to Himself. *Who raises the Dead??* 1 Samuel 2:6 “The Lord brings death and makes alive; he brings down to the grave and raises up Quran 22:7 and Allah shall surely resurrect those that are in graves. Since God is the one to raises the dead at the resurrection, would we expect a mere prophet to tell his followers, that He will resurrect the dead? In John 5:25-29 Jesus said: John 5:25-29 25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come *when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live* .............................. ........................................... 28 “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when *all who are in their graves will hear his voice* 29 and come out-those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned In John 11:25 Jesus even calls Himself the Resurrection! He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (According to Jesus all must honour Him just as we honour the Father ) Since One of the ways we honour the Father is , by worshiping Him and *since Jesus said, we have to honour the Son, same way we honour the father. Jesus was demanding worship. It should come as no surprise that Jesus's followers worshiped him in numerous occasions *The Gospels tells us Jesus was worshipped at his birth, during his ministry, after this ressurrection , before his Ascension into heaven and after his Ascension into heaven.* Matthew 2:11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and *worshiped him* Matthew 14:33 Then *those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God* John 9:32-38 38 Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and *he worshiped him* John 20:28 *Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”* Matthew 28:17 When they saw him, *they worshiped him;* Luke 24:50-53 51 While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 *And they worshiped him* These are not the claims of a mere human being , they are not even claims of a mighty prophet, these are claims only God could truly make. This is why Christians believe Jesus is God!

@@Geothenics "We have revealed to you... this Book (For argument sake let's assume "this BOOK" refers to the QURAN; however, the verse 5:48 does NOT say that it's the QURAN) with the truth, as a CONFIRMATION of previous Scriptures (BIBLE)... The verse doesn't say, "We have revealed to you...this Book (QURAN) with the truth as a CORRECTION / ABROGATION of previous Scriptures"... rather it CONFIRMS the previous Scriptures (BIBLE) His claim would have been accurate if the verse 5:48 read: "We have revealed to you... this Book (QURAN) with the truth SINCE / BECAUSE the previous Scriptures were CORRUPTED?" The second part of the verse: "... a supreme authority on them." This addendum doesn't in anyway claim the previous Scriptures (BIBLE) were corrupted. Reading the entire Surah from 5:43 - 5:48 it is very clear that these verses CONFIRMS the Torah and Gospel (injeel). HOLY BIBLE = TORAH + INJEEL (Gospel)

Sorry, David is right and you lost the challenge. The Quran orders Christians and Jews to observe and follow the Torah and the gospel in surat Maida 68: Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O People of the Book! You have nothing to stand on unless you observe the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord.” If the scriptures were corrupted at the time of Muhammad, how can he order them to follow and observe the scriptures? This doesn’t make any sense and he’s contradicting himself.

This is the complete verse Say (O Muhammad) "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! You have nothing (as regards guidance) till you act according to the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), and what has (now) been sent down to you from your Lord (the Qur’ân)." Verily, that which has been sent down to you (Muhammad) from your Lord increases in most of them (their) obstinate rebellion and disbelief. So be not sorrowful over the people who disbelieve.
