What other lake hikes are you planning in the Sangre's? I hope to finish the rest in 2021.

My favorite place to camp and hike.

@@RandomCryptoHodler I need to go back to these lakes to explore more - maybe vamp a couple nights. This is one of my older videos. I'd like to put out a newer version. Maybe next year. Thanks for watching!

How crowded would you say this area is relative to Collegiate Peaks area lakes?
@DavidonEarth2 жыл бұрын
Lakes of the Clouds is a more popular place in the Sangres, but generally Sangre lakes draw fewer people than the Collegiates... fewer Denver-ites.

David which lake would you recommend for camping overnight on a backpack trip?
@DavidonEarth4 жыл бұрын
Every lake I've been to in the Sangre's had camping opportunities near by. You really can't go wrong. Some are "slightly" more scenic than others. Macey Lakes, Lakes of the Clouds, South Colony Lakes, Sand Creek Lakes... all spectacular settings.

How long was the hike (in time) to the first lake?
@DavidonEarth4 жыл бұрын
For me, it's about a 2 hour hike to get to the first lake. Of course, everyone has there own pace... so it could be shorter/longer.

I took this hike two or three times a year in the ‘70s and 80’ when there was no beetle kill and it was beautiful. Please, please cut the music. Thanks.

The no beetle kill days must have been a different experience - but, nature's cycles are part of the beauty - and there's still much beauty to enjoy! The music... I've learned much about video production over the past few years - hope you find my more recent work more enjoyable.
