Hey great video, how hard is it to get a etp? And how long does the process usually take?

Hello! And thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately that is a super loaded question and it depends. Depends what it’s for, depends on your leadership to move that around the squadron and get it signed. Depends on severity, etc.

Hello! I had a question about overseas folks. I’m a 4 year and extended to get my assignment to aviano. I’m currently 15 months out my deros and can apply to retrain but my DEROS is OCT24. I was told to try to get an ETP to apply out of my window and justify why “ I extended to get the orders” would this be a good justification and chance to get my ETP approved? My squadron is manned over 90 percent. I’m trying to retrain into public health. I’m an E4

That is tough, I honestly couldn't tell you because those are very specific extenuating circumstances that I am not too sure about. You would have to talk to your career assistance advisor or call the headquarters of AFPC.

With the new policy in place 1 June 23, will the window be changing? will I (SrA) as a 6 year 2.5 years in be able to re-train, to a re-train only afsc? Is it possible to re-train before my window?
@DavidCapperino Жыл бұрын
As far as I know, there isn't "re-train" only AFSCs, unless you mean those that have an obj-in/out. It is possible before your window if you're going AFSPECWAR.

Hey Dave, I got out the Navy from 06 - 11, joined the Marine Corps. from 13 - 20.(12 years active total service) All active duty, made E-6, joining the Air Force, they'll bump me down to E-5, and put me in Supply for the Air Force. I'm trying to change to another AFSC when I get in instead of Supply. Could you explain the potential solution to this if at all possible? Many thanks, Christopher

Yes, this should be explained loosely in the video. If you look at my posts, there’s 2-3 videos on cross training. Talk to your career assistance advisor. Everyone’s situation is different especially when I don’t know the how your career field is. There are a plethora of factors that could affect your ability to cross train.

Currently e4 with a line for staff and just extended a second time on my 4 year contract. Do I fall under the NCORP even as a FTA still or is that only if you reenlist? I want to stay in the air force so bad but want a different career!
@DavidCapperino2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. I’m pretty sure that’s more or less the same thing I said. If I didn’t, then yes because you’re an NCO now you fall into a different category. That being the NCORP. At least, that’s what I think for what I was told.
