Join us as Pastor David Guzik teaches on Psalm 38. This psalm is a song full of pain and dark with guilt, as David felt the sore effects (seemingly both physical and spiritual) of his sin.

Thank you for explaining this psalm. I am a born again Believer. Recently I took ill and wanted to be healed by divine healing and was listening to Andrew Murray's audios. Then I asked God to show me my sin. I had a dream which brought me to remembrance. I prayed and repented and asked for forgiveness. Then weeks went by I had this dream showing me psalm 38. I tried to read it in the dream but could not. So I noted it down and searched for it, and that's when I came upon your explanation. I am now reading it always to my better understanding hoping to get healed. In Jesus name amen. Thank God for your life.

For years I was living a lie and I didn't even realize it because I was praying everyday observing the Sabbath loving Jesus..... But I felt that something was wrong and I pray Lord show me what it is then I am doing wrong and he did! And this song became my favorite psalm!!! You know our church teaches that if you are committing a sin and not aware of it then it really isn't a sin but I realize that that's not true! A sin is a sin whether you are aware of it or not and if you are communicating with the Lord at some point he will let you know and you must repent!! There is no peace without repentance! I am so thankful to the Lord for opening my eyes but I am in great suffering right now just as David expresses in this Psalm 38 and I pray this prayer every night and sometimes during the day and I will continue to do so until I feel that God is pleased with me!! Praise Jesus!

Thank you for this❤️. Currently, I think I’m experiencing this. My bones feel weak; there’s a pressure on my chest; and it’s as if I can’t breath. I am unmotivated; lethargic; no appetite; and depression. I have anxiety and feel overall deep sadness. I can understand the physical, mental, and heart pain and have been pleading to God . God bless 🙏🏽

I loosen psalm 38, 2 corinthians 6:14-15, matthew 6:24, 1 john 3:10 over the life of my opponents to feel the consequences of their actions upon repentance, while I and the body of Christ will not be unequally yoked with and have any common share with any evildoer serving satan, binding every heaviness of head in my life, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

I was born and raised a Catholic and as beautiful religion as it is, we were not encouraged to study the Bible. We would hear the Bible when we went to Mass and we have Bible study in school, but it was more limited to what you might call Bible History which entailed the Old Testament and then of course all the stories of Jesus in the New Testament and totally focused on his death and Resurrection..... 20 years ago I was as you might say born again when I picked up a Bible and began to really read the Psalms and dig deeper into many parts of the Bible that I did not learn when I was younger and when this happened my entire life changed... I truly began to truly repent of all the sins of my younger years and quite often I ran to Psalm 38 and totally connected to it even though I was healthy at the time! Now in my senior years when the evil one presses me down and tries to make me remember the things I did when I was younger I still run to Psalm 38! Another aspect of Psalm 38 that I love about King David is his humility before God which is so evident in this psalm. BTW, I am still Catholic but I am a much better Christian! Thank you so much for your wonderful interpretation of this psalm!

Suzie, what a wonderful testimony about how God stirred your heart to read his word, and then drew you to Himself through His word and by His Holy Spirit. Thanks for sharing! Blessings!
