I’ve realized all of this at a young age. I’m 17 and have already recognized all of the topics discussed in this podcast. People aren’t who you think they are and the only people who truly realize this are the ones with discernment. I’m also an introvert and am very confident in who I’ve become. I can be extroverted and seem totally normal but after a while being around lots of people starts to take a mental and physical tole on me. I will then need to be alone for a while to recover. I’m looking forward to another podcast with Jesse and Anthony. Could y’all go really in depth on self discipline and doubt in oneself?
@bussincraft3 жыл бұрын
This was very deep. I feel like I truly relate with you David and Jesse. I grew up in a home with guardians that were very strict, but that’s what causes my discipline, discernment, empathy, and all the things that build me as a person. In general self control runs an entrepreneur’s brain. At times you may think naturally about all these things that addiction is prevalent in, but you don’t let it control your feelings completely. Or you do all these things that no one else is doing because you’re addicted to the feeling of somewhat rejecting societies norms of thinking and approval. This can go hand and hand with politics as well. Once you feel apart of one group and feel deemed worthy of this group of people, you gain a pleasure with talking to likeminded people while also avoiding deep opinions inside for the instant gratification of feeling accepted by people you admire. This goes hand and hand with the influencer life style and how people see people that are successful. For example, everyone sees Elon musk as success, not as an actual person because people idolize the thought of success in their heads naturally. I believe everything if it’s in moderation can help a lot with getting things done, but if the neurotransmitters and dopamine is achieved through logical, stable, and meaningful passions in life; this passion can grow stronger and stronger as life goes on. Once we become accommodated to the dopamine in our brain, our thoughts and actions then adapt to the surrounding we’re in. Once we see instant gratification, pleasure and happiness in something, we can easily become addicted to those things. Addiction can be good in a way, but addiction can be bad in many ways as well. There are pros and cons to every addiction that people face. Passion it’s self can be an addiction after a while. I can tell we would get along in a pod cast. With an influence on tiktok, I completely understand some of your guy’s point of views. We are on the same wavelength. I’d love to meet y’all. I really enjoyed this podcast. I think I needed to see this :) it inspires me to keep working at what I’m doing and pushing/grinding out on content! So thank you David and Jesse (and Anthony for helping with the engagement rates and comments on the video; I noticed what y’all were doing with this 🙌) Have a good day yall!

This conversation spoke to me on multiple levels! With sports, my Dad was an MLB pitcher who won the World Series with the Reds in ‘90 so there was a lot of expectation to do baseball as a career. However, I loved making people laugh, becoming someone else for a bit and being stupid with my friends who were all doing theatre. I came home and told my mom that I wanted to be an actor. I moved to NYC straight out of college and never turned back. The conversation on having both parents in the household for a balance of creativity and structure is REAL. I’m not a huge fan of parties for the same reasons; I’d rather invite good friends over to drink bourbon and have genuine conversations. Lastly, I’m probably gonna steal that idea from JJW about kids coming home from college and going back into their old habits and routines with the same people like they never grew. I’m getting into writing films that I can act in ( and pushing through some limiting beliefs on writing). I’m grateful the KZbin rabbit hole led me to this video today.
