Hello after set TPS to 0.40v , when you reset the maximum throtle point to ECU know, its with 0,40 v or with idle voltage? Another question is in my bike I cant set minus them 0.59 v at idle, If I rise the engine goes down at idle.

Does the TPS reset clear the so called “adaptation values” that many online talk about, or can that only be done with the KTM dealer tool? If it doesn’t, what exactly does resetting the tps do considering you’re already at the .40v? The powervalve reset I can wrap my mind around. Any info would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for the wonderful products you guys make!

Yes the TPS reset is the same as resettign the adaptive values. Its the same process. It teaches the ECU the new closed postion of the TPS.

Do you have any tips if you cannot get the TPS value reset to initiate? No matter what I do I cannot get the fuel pump to spin after twisting the throttle 3 times. I followed your instructions exactly but it just will not do it. (2024 TE300)
@MaxW52
@MaxW52 2 ай бұрын
At my SX250 2024 it is the same! At 0,40 Volt the fuel pump does not spin. At 0,45 Volt it does ist. Should i go over the prozess with a start point of 0,45?? Right now i think it runns a little bit lean and boogs if i go in the mid range back on the throttle.
@TwoStrokePerformance
@TwoStrokePerformance 2 ай бұрын
Technically the process will only initiate if the TPS voltage is between 0.32-0.42v... we tell people to set the TPS to 0.40v as this is the factory default. If you have the TPS at 0.40v and it is still not resetting then check for fult codes as there may be some present which are stopping the process from happening.

@@TwoStrokePerformance Thank you for this tip! It turns out that the whole reason I couldn't get it to initiate is because I was using an inaccurate multimeter! When I double checked with another one I was at 0.48v which mine would display 0.40v. After re-adjusting everything is perfect! I super appreciate you sharing your knowledge and helping myself and the community.

@@MaxW52 I was just able to solve this issue. The multimeter I was using was displaying 0.40v but the measurement was inaccurate. I used another higher quality multimeter and it showed it was at 0.48v which was preventing it from initiating the learning cycle. After using the good multimeter everything works perfect!

How do you do this with a multimeter only?
@TwoStrokePerformance
@TwoStrokePerformance 5 ай бұрын
Probe the Black and Yellow/Red wires on the back of the TPS plug. With both the red and yellow throttle body adjusters backed all the way out you need to set the TPS to 0.40v. If it requires adjustment loosen the torx screws holding the TPS in position, rotate as necessary and then re-tighten until 0.40v is achieved.

Is the green map generally leaner and the white map richer? I like the white map in most conditions and wondering which direction to go with basic settings to increase power response with green map...
@TwoStrokePerformance
@TwoStrokePerformance 3 ай бұрын
Yes generally the green map is leaner than the white map, but ti does vary. If you want to experiment you coudl use Basic Tuning to remove say -3% fuel on teh white map and see how it feels. If it feels OK you can go a bit further.

Do we need to do the tps reset on both maps or just once?
@TwoStrokePerformance
@TwoStrokePerformance 6 ай бұрын
No you only need to do it once. Think of the ECU as containing one 'tune', and the tune has 2 'maps' within it. The reset applies to the tune and so therefore impacts both maps.

Hey Guys I keep getting an error code saying P1404 Exhaust Valve Lower Position not reachable. When I ride right on the bottom there’s a dead spot/bog and then it takes off like a bat out of hell. TSP PV cover and ERM added, and Iridium plug. Downloaded Trail mapping and I’m at/below Sea Level Long Island NY
@TwoStrokePerformance
@TwoStrokePerformance 4 ай бұрын
I would suggest carefully checking wiring to the PV servo. If possible swap the servo for one off another TBI bike and see if its still happens. We have had the same issue on one of our shop bikes and it turned out to be a wiring fault. Another possibility could be carbon build up stopping the PV from reaching its limits.
@christophernapolitano8404
@christophernapolitano8404 4 ай бұрын
I reset code, then PV and TPS again and then went for a ride, code is staying off now. But the dead Spot/BOG off initial throttle 0-15% is not going away. Then it opens up and pulls like crazy. But nothing on the Bottom.
@TwoStrokePerformance
@TwoStrokePerformance 4 ай бұрын
@@christophernapolitano8404 i would still investigate the PV. Lack of bottom end power then strong mid/top are a common symptom of a powervalve thats set too high. There could be something stopping the PV from reaching its correct lowest point. Even though you did the PV reset it may have just reset the low position to something higher than it needs to be. eg. if carbon was stopping it from reaching its correct down postion the ECU just resets the new (higher) position as closed because thats as far as the PV can travel.
@lonsomecrow

Do we need to do these resets after making custom changes to the TSP map ?
@TwoStrokePerformance
@TwoStrokePerformance 5 ай бұрын
No, you only need to do it the first time you pair the ERM with the ECU. Once it has been done the first time you can then make changes with the ERM and you wont have to do it again. The only exception is if you do a top end rebuild and strip down the powervavle, in which case you would perform the powervavle reset again, or iof you decide to manually roatate th TPS to another setting, in which case you would do the TPS reset again.

This is very confusing . Theres been 3 diffrent videos doing 3 different things...i really hope i havent damaged my new bike
@TwoStrokePerformance
@TwoStrokePerformance 6 ай бұрын
Not you wont have done any damage. We have updated the process for several reasons. This most recent update, which now includes the adaptive value reset, has come about to bring the process in line with the KTM manual. The reality is that the vast majority of ECUs already have 0.40v saved as the TPS baseline value. For these bikes the adaptive value reset doesnt change anything. Rather than telling some people to do it and others not to, we have simply now said to everyone to perform the reset as a safeguard. The reason we are confident in this process is that we have a database of hundreds of original ECU tunes from ERM customers and can see exactly what value they are already set to. Virtually all of them are already at 0.40.
