Please that’s not what afrobeats is, do research before you speak. We’re talking about Afrobeats not Afrobeat, again Afrobeats is a mixture of different genres of music. Distinct from Afrobeat is Afrobeats - a sound originating in West Africa in the 21st century, one that takes in diverse influences and is an eclectic combination of genres such as hip hop, house, jùjú, ndombolo, R&B and soca. The two genres, though often conflated, are not the same.

As a Nigerian who also respects Davido, Davido is no king of Afrobeats. I'm much more likely to rate Wizkid as one or even Burna Boy more before considering Davido.
