I'm a big fan from Korea who greatly appreciates watching your videos. Thank you for today's video as well. As a non-developer, I've created a niche web app using Lovable, and I think it would be really helpful to have a video explaining how to monetize it from a starter's perspective.🔥
@expatlife2016 күн бұрын
monetization depends on your target market requirements. you should have first checked if there was any market demand or any pain points that your web app will solve. if it solves a specific problem then you can start with social media marketing as well as Facebook ads campaign if you have the budget. if no budget then go with just content marketing on various social medial platforms where your potential customers hang out.

I’ve been building a new bookmark manager using Replit and Cursor, and it’s been both exciting and frustrating! Replit sometimes slows down or disconnects when the project grows bigger, making debugging tough, and Cursor occasionally gives me off-track suggestions (the infamous AI ‘hallucinations’). But breaking everything down into smaller features, focusing on a clean architecture, and using a solid workflow (like the LAP framework) has really helped me regain control. I’m learning tons about how to properly plan features from scratch and keep my implementation simpler and more reliable. The key is iterating in small steps-build, test, fix, repeat-and not letting AI or environment quirks completely derail the process.

What is the LAP framework?
@botsandbytes9 күн бұрын
@@william19haff Quick correction about my bookmark manager comment - that 'LAP framework' I mentioned? Total AI hallucination (oh the irony! 😅). What's actually helping is just breaking features into small pieces and following a simple build-test-fix cycle. Sometimes the AI tools get a bit creative with the 'facts', but hey, that's part of the adventure! 🤖✨

I did not see the files created during the development, which programming language it uses, how we will deploy the website to our own server, and many other questions!

Nice work on this. For products like this to work for non-programmers apps like this need to deploy LM assistants to recognize gaps in user familiarity so that tasks can be completed and users will be sticky....for instance the lm assistant would recognize that the user doesn't know about backend and that the app is a useless facade and will ask the user about next steps such as "now that we have some React (or whatever), would you like to set up the backend? If you would like to know what a backend server is press here, if you are ready to just move forward I'll help you fire up and integrate superbase... " ... something along those lines

CONNECTED TO SUPABASE!!!! You are Awesome David!! Continues with your work its very good!!

Loveable and Superbase is an appealing combination
@realKytra17 күн бұрын
crazy good mix and if you have a domain, combined with Vercel you can have a website up and running while working on it. Pretty neat and for free (only domain cost ofc and Lovable sub if needed) 🍻

Frontend was never appealing to me. This is why AI tools are such a godsend for me. Now I can really focus on the backend :D

i think Windsurf is better i hope you try to make full project.
@fedorzavs235115 күн бұрын
why its better?
@leytonwise13 күн бұрын
The pricing sucks though cursor is much better for your money
@qAidleX8 күн бұрын
Windsurf is great, Cursor is the most advanced and doesn't hold your hand as well as windsurf. Definitely prefer Cursor if you have dev experience, bolt if your brand new, windsurf if you want to start getting into more advanced apps, Cursor if you are comfortable reading the project files
@leytonwise7 күн бұрын
@@qAidleX Yeah I would agree, cursor is for the user who wants to build more complicated apps but the skill level is higher. But with anything practice makes perfect and knowing how to use ai and prompting helps a lot. You should always remember that the ai is a tool not the owner of the software your building. Think of ai as an employee not a teacher or a overlord that knows what you should do.

Can I import a current project made in VS Code? Or my Github repository?

Very important question.

Can I make just the front-end with this? I want to write the backend myself in Go, then provide the APIs to the lovable. is this possible?

You can NOT have a full production-ready app in under an hour. Sorry but your optimism is blinding you.

do you think gpt 4 can do this on its own? Instead of paying for this service

so what about v0 or bolt? what is better price wise and output wise?
@expatlife2016 күн бұрын
Both Bolt and Lovable are good, you can use any of them. out of the box design wise on any project Bolt is great but speed wise Lovable is good and it doesn't break down while coding. Bolt breaks down sometimes. I've used both of them and built my projects with lovable but now building another project with Bolt this time and so far everything is going ok.

so why you still reccomand cursor if this is the "cursor killer"?! I dont get it.
