A visit to Rhodes is not complete without exploring Lindos. It is not just because of the acropolis found on its foundation dating back to the 3rd century BC or the medieval fortifications that continue to provide the site with its deserved tranquility. Nor is it due to the sugar-cube houses and labyrinthine streets just below the city.
It is because of the experience of following the same path as ancient civilizations and knights, who once used Lindos as a place of worship and defense as they climbed to the temple 116 meters above sea level. The incredible views of the Aegean Sea and St. Paul's Bay inspired them.
