Wild Camping in Snowdonia - Vango F10 Helium UL Tent

Today we go on a windy wild camp in Snowdonia National Park in Wales! I try out my brand new Vango F10 Helium Ultra Light Tent and even crunch a few miles of hiking bellow Tryfan and around the Ogwen Valley. Great video - you are inspired. You make me smile 😀. I carry a Vango Cairngorm 300 which is good size when we hike as a couple. But because it is so roomy I still carry it for solo hikes. And got Titanium pegs which saves weight. I do like your tent though - probably a lot light especially if it gets wet. I always have a groundsheet. And use JetBoil like you. Question: where did your walking poles go?

Didn’t bring the walking poles this time around! But I did use my Tripod as a walking stick when not filming!! Haha😂 They work just as well! Thanks for the support mate, yes I’m loving the tent so far! It’s really strong and hasn’t let me down yet! Let’s see what it’s like in less forgiving weather!! 🔥

So weird - I cam here to see a review of the tent, but you walked past the spot where I camped for my gold DofE in 2013. We were camped on the north side of Llyn Idwal with a snow-capped mountain in front of us. Great video though, beautiful spot and such chill vibes x

Excellent tent I have one I take high up into the lakes . The way it blends in to the landscape is unbelievable . Pitch it near some big rocks and it disappears. Love mine small , tough and reliable.

I wish i had your passion and enthusiasm, as a kid my parents where very protective, never allowed me to sleep in tents or go camping - they where all about posh hotels and comforts, sadly they also instilled a fear that doing what you are, would make me ill or catch some thing.. So your videos bring me so much joy, and one day, i may venture in to a tent and hike .. my dream would be to do Himalayas, and the lake Manosoravar near the mountain Kailash.. But the Uk is stuning so tiny steps and see what happens. thanks for the uploads..

Well done David, good to see some others escaping Hertfordshire's flat lands (comparatively) for some outdoor ruggedness. The tent looks nice, I got the Xenon 2+ this year and love the extra space for long winter nights, especially if my son tags along. Keep up the enthusiasm.
