You are right about your comment it almost feels like if you are walking back in time in those medieval markets in Europe or meso Americas markets before the conquistadores. It is amazing walking through the streets or aisles and having interaction with the venders. It is so alive! Great experience.

I’m from D.C. I went there on vacation with my wife and kids back in June of this year. Besides Managua we visited Granada, Leon, and San Juan del Sur. We had an amazing time and felt perfectly safe the whole trip and I heard the same from other American tourists I met.
