Yeah whenever my family makes salmon on the grill we usually have leftovers so I just put some in a bowl with rice, heat it up, put some lemon juice and soy sauce on it, top it with avocado, and eat. As long as the fish isn't overcooked it should be great.

I've overcooked boiled eggs before they get pungent and the yolk gets really dry and a weird color... its VERY possible LOL. Ive also had it where the water boiled away and the SHELLS BURNT. 😂😂

Yeah you can definitely overcook boiled eggs. The yolks will get kind if chalky and you’ll see some weird green/grey colors inside which is just unpleasant.

David, for the second recipe you might want to look at Marbled Tea Eggs - a traditional Asian recipe that involved boiling eggs (as soft or as hard as you wish), cracking them and seeping them in tea, soy sauce, salt, sugar and SPICES. They are easy to make and have the same cool marbled look as the Halloween Deviled Eggs you've made in this video but without artificial food colouring and are properly seasoned. As for the Salmom Rice 😂 I resonate with you. The dish is just a long-existed college dorm food item, and it could taste much better if the rice is stir-fried and seasoned instead of being microwaved 😂 I'm drooling at the egg and cheese bowl though! 😍 That legit looks tasty. Nobody can resist eggs cheese and bread!

yes, it's very possible to overcook hard boiled eggs! the yolk gets greenish and the whites gets rubbery also, both eggs and avocado needs at least salt, so i can't imagine how those eggs tasted without it

7:45 yes it is possible. When you get that greenish brown ring around the yolk, its over cooked. It's the sulfur coming from the egg.

Though since it ends up mixed into everything in this recipe, I don't think it'd make that big of a difference, regardless. Mixing a little acv into regular mayo should mimic the flavour well enough

Most of all plant fats is liquid at room temperature, and have to be hydrogenated (having a hydrogen atom bonded to the molecule) in order to solidify it. The only exceptions are coconut and palm oil, which are, as far as I know, the only plant oils that stay solid at room temp.

There is a Jamaican dish called Dirty Rice which is rice cooked with various vegetables, cubed pumpkin, sliced okra, sliced peppers, sliced onions, and salt fish. The salt fish is just salt cured cod that's rehydrated. I'm sure there is also coconut milk in there as well as a multitude of seasoning. That's what that viral rice trend reminds me of.

My mother found a recipe for deviled eggs back in the late 70's (well before I was born), that involves Thousand Island dressing (or ketchup, mayo, and pickled relish [if I make mine I sometimes leave out the relish]). She of course uses salt, pepper, and some paprika to flavor the cooked egg yolks as well. I've tried other deviled eggs (usually with the mustard and mayo mixture) but these are the best deviled eggs I've ever had. Plus the reddish color makes you think 'devil'.

a way you can really spice up the egg recipe is to make tea eggs! marinate the eggs in a concentrated black tea + dark soy sauce + five spice powder marinade overnight, it naturally dyes the eggs slightly brown with cracks and is really tasty :)

I love steak, and I can cook it just the way I like it every time, but let's not pretend that it is some revolutionary idea. The salmon rice bowl is nice because it's pretty easy and convenient to make. It's basically sushi minus the skill and it's innovative to use salmon from a before meal to make it. Plus it's so open to mods like adding tuna instead of salmon or cauliflower rice instead of regular! I love it!

Yes, Dear! You can overcook and egg and it shows both in the color of the yolk and in its flavor. The yolk gets this greenish-grayish rim that gets deeper and darker, depending on how long you overcooked the eggs. And the whole egg tastes weird and smells sulfurous. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I think the issue stems from reheating fried rice from a takeaway. Since fried rice is made from precooked and cooled rice so the second reheat that you do at home is too long since it was first cooked and it becomes risky from a bacteria point of view. But cooking your own rice then reheating it is a different thing

To avoid over cooking your boiled eggs, Start with eggs in cold water, Bring that water to a rapid boil, Turn off heat source, cover the eggs and now super hot water with a solid lid, set a timer for 6-12 minutes depending on desired doneness, gently dump out hot water, run eggs under cold water or set in ice bath, peel and enjoy. :)

David, you shoud look into Chinese tea eggs! Basically eggs are hard boiled and then cracked and soaked in this tea/spice broth for a day and it dyes the eggs and leaves it with a really cool pattern-and it's super flavourful! Much better than the bland deviled eggs :)

I have tried avocado deviled eggs... let me tell you that if it remotely sits out for longer than 45min, that avocado in the egg yolk mixture will oxidize like avocado usually does.. and boy! A yummy swamp water yellow it become mmmmm
