Olds 307, a good work horse engine that lasted for many miles if PM was kept. But they were weak on power. I had one in a 86 Olds Cutlass supreme. When I got it, it had 168,000 miles on it. I drove it until it got to around 185,000 and when it got there it's top speed was 45 mph. I built a SBC 350 with around 300 horses, rebuilt a TH350 trans to back it. Yanked the 307, changed motor mounts and dropped the SBC in. I also yanked the rear diff and installed a locking unit with 3.23 gears.

i had a 403 olds engine in a trans am..tuff as nails..wish i still had it i need a motor for my dump truck lol...hard to get a standard flywheel for them engines tho
