DaVinci Resolve not showing the video on timeline

The video is about to solve the problem of not showing the video on the timeline of the DaVinci Resolve.
Note:- If this doesn't work then restart your pc after the graphics settings and open again DaVinci Resolve.

I ran into the same issue when using Davinci 16, which has higher processing requirements than older versions. Tried all the stuff but it did not work. Ultimately I uninstalled Davinci 16 and downloaded Davinci 15.3.1 which can be found on their website. And BOOM it worked. Maybe it has to do with processing requirements? My laptop is a bit older so im guessing thats what it is.

High specs needs for DaVinci Resolve 16 for working well and I suggest you download the latest version of DaVinci Resolve and if the timeline is empty then follow steps shown in the above video. Thank you ❤️

Ugh, why won't any video solve my problem. My media is literally repeating the same frame over and over and over and over AGAIN!!!! Every time I import something. But I still hear the audio of that media while it's stuck on the same frame throughout the entire timeline. NO VIDEO has been able to fix this and it's driving me crazy!!!!!!!

@@sunilaadewar1532, that was not the best answer (yes, I could do that, but it would mean go into Da Vinci 17, which for now I did not want to update). The answer is: go to the "Cut" function, and after clicking the clip you want to introduce to your Project, go to the lower end of the "Media Pool", and select the first symbol: "Smart Insert" and click on it = Voilá! It did it; it inserted the second clip with BOTH the video and the audio, after the first clip. Anyways, still appreciate your help. I know there's always more than one way to arrive at a good result. Thanks.

Okay so I have an mp4 video file which does show up in the media pool as perfectly normal. But when I drag and drop/import it into my timeline, instead of considering it as a video, it only gets dropped into the audio tracks as an audio file and there's no video visible. Basically this problem occurs because of any kind of settings to battery saving or power saving or you had reduced the performance of the computer. To cross check the above problem plugin your computer and set your computer performance to maximum and open DaVinci Resolve. After plugin if video starts showing on the timeline then put settings battery performance on maximum. Hope this will help you ❤️

If you are unable to find any video in DaVinci Resolve then video format is not supported by DaVinci Resolve and if you don't edit that video then it does not matter. Thank you.
