I'm an old guy 59, and when you do this to a nice xj it gives me a sick feeling, use OME 2.5 inch and a set of 245/75/16's and you have a much versatile XJ, I have a 01 green limited four-by-four with 30k miles, it only has rust on leaf hanger "rear hanger" which I got most of it off with rem oil. It's an kept inside Arkansas one owner. OME will be on it end of month.

Yep our Jeeps don’t have hacked up backyard cut fenders, rust everywhere, peeling paint and 37” tires rubbing the doors with a 3” lift!!! Mall comments stopped in 2010 hommie.

Were the driveshafts custom and does it have slip yoke eliminator or any other drivetrain upgrades such as axles, locker, etc? Very nice XJ..........maybe next time play some manly music such as Something from Ronnie James DIO. The jeep is bad ass it demands bad ass music not little girl music. Now get that thing in the mud and enjoy the mods so it doesent drive itself to the mall when you're not looking.

But I should not knock him, he may know a lot more than what he has exhibited. I was in the auto business, primarily high end luxury/off-road/sport. To some, possibly most, of those customers (especially those with all the money in the world to burn) getting technical is Greek to them.

K-Mart has it right. Also, stability. All coils is unstable, all leaf springs doesn't provide the flexibility you need to tackle obstacles. Coils front and leafs rear on straight axles is the best setup there is.
