I feel your pain - about working on one project and then getting sideswiped when you discover something else that needs attention (in this case - the missing backing plates). Eventually you'll get her done and enjoy stowing the dinghy over the stern. We went through much of the same "song and dance" on our boat, but we LOVE the stern lifting davits - keeping the dinghy out of the water at night keeps the barnacles off and reduces the chance for someone to steal your boat or outboard. Carry on!

yep, boat projects take three time as long as you thought and cost twice as much and it never ends. you'll be on your way eventually. then you can stop in paradise and sand some fiberglass.. (っ＾▿＾)۶🍸🌟🍺٩(˘◡˘ ) at least you'll be in paradise
