Fun fact: The director of Minish Cap left Capcom and joined Nintendo as the director of the mainline series from Skyward Sword on.

Minish Cap lives rent free in my mind since I was a child, it's genuinely THE Zelda game that captured the magic of an epic fairy tale to me, everything is so charming

The version of the Hyrule Field theme in the credits is actually based off of the cloudtop theme in Minish Cap, which you sadly didn't cover here. That's my favorite piece in the whole Soundtrack!

Minish Cap was my first Zelda game, and it was a great entry point. Went back and played Wind Waker and OoT and now I'm hooked.

Minish Cap is my favorite Zelda game! A Magical Adventure is definitely the word I would use! Through woods, Over mountains, Above the clouds, Big and Small, it was just a very good setting, the Audio/Visual of this game really made it both quaint as well as mystical.

3:50 Isn't it the end credits theme in Ocarina of Time? That's what I remember it as. Yeah, it totally is.

What’s funny is that I played minish cap before I beat ocarina of time, and I was completely flabbergasted when I heard it after beating ocarina. Ocarina was the first Zelda game I played but I was seven, and I was stupid, so I never got past the third dungeon. When I went back to it when I was thirteen, I was blown away by how good it was.

Minish Cap getting the recognition it deserves! So many gems in here and they sound great with the GBA soundfont. My favourites are Picori festival, the story intro, Minish village and the Minish woods.

The aesthetics of The Minish Cap are my favorite in the series. The visuals and music really connect to give the player this sense of a fun, bright adventure.

I think the reason the castle town theme references Kokiri Forest is for it to feel like a home base for Link. It's the first place you go in the game, so it gives it a homey feel.

Watching this video explains even more why I enjoy the music in Minish cap. I never realized some of the call backs outside of the obvious ones. But I know that title screen one sounded familiar! lol No wait, the kokiri forest read was actually ridiculous, because that's another song from minish cap that I thought was completely original but just makes even more sense why I thought it was so good lol

I love Minish Cap, but if you want an AMAZING OST on GBA, check out Final Fantasy Tactics Advance! Walking in Ivalice, Undefeated Hearts, Unavoidable Destiny, PAINFUL BATTLE, Main Theme, Gathering Allies, Companions that surpass their tribe, Bar theme, Amber Valley, Beyond the wasteland, Battle of Hope are all absolute BANGERS that used the GBA soundchip PERFECTLY.

It's kinda funny. The GBA soundchip was notoriously terrible, and we could hear it in many of the portable ports the console had. Yet when a team of composers would focus on a GBA-exclusive title, they could still manage to produce something truly special that would leave a strong impression. This game, the GBA Pokémon games, the GBA Kirby games, and the GBA Metroid games all have soundtracks that I still remember fondly to this day.
