WEF meetings are held in Switzerland because Klaus Schwab who is german and founded WEF lives in the country, secondly, these meetings could be held in any country. CERN is located between France & Switzerland, scientists from all over the world work there, and the Gotthard Tunnel that was opened in 2016 is a railway tunnel, nothing more, nothing less, so i wouldn’t get my pants in a knot if i were you. Davos is a town which is a popular ski town which relies on a lot of tourism. Maybe you should have a look at your own country to see what is going on there.

Was all the food served in Davos, produced right there in Davos? Was all the cars and planes EV's? Everything that was used Tech wise, furniture, wood produced there in Davos? The carpets covering the walls and floors in that Olympic pool arena, was that locally produced and what will happen to it after the event. Hypocrisy at the top level. I used to work as a caterer in New York city doing events for all these elitists and you wouldn't believe the amount of waste produced at these things. I worked at the UN a few times where these chemical company tycoons were lecturing everyone about pollution, meanwhile we are wasting food and generating heaps of garbage.
