The longer the blowgun it's not more accurate, but more difficult to blow and more difficult to use generally. 5 to 6 ft is great for hunting and 2 to 3 ft is great for indoors use and target practice. 4ft is a happy medium which also works very good!

Mr. Arch, I have read that some of the blow guns were actually rifled inside by the same process that was used on early muzzleloading rifles which were scratch rifled on a primitive rifling machine. This supposedly came about after the Southern tribes came in contact with muzzleloading rifles. I have also heard that the power of the blow gun can be increased by the length of the blow gun. Have you any information or could you elaborate on this? I think I got the information from Laubins Bows and Arrows of the American Indians.
