Incredibly enlightening for a viewer born at the end of the coal industry, especially with regards to the miners attitudes to governments and capitalism. Also, what was striking was the contrast to modern TV documentaries, especially without a "celebrity" voiceover all the way through - the people's voices and story was heard...

@0:55 "The miners know the labour party has let them down" christ what would they think now - too bothered about "what is a woman" and lgbtq stuff. "drive the rats back into their holes" - this is how all politicians view the working classes - all of them. They are not like us - they are unlike us.
