"it's like trying to make out every little word when you should simply hum along " such a well written line, a touching song. I heard it on 89.3 the Current here in Minnesota. something about this song stays with you.

This song is magical; one of the best songs I have ever heard. I love how authentic his voice sounds. He's not trying to sound beautiful, he's trying to sound real, and somehow, that ends up being all the more beautiful.

it isn't fair that songwriting can catch the depths of emotion so easily, that lyrics can wrench so deeply in such simple words. it isn't fair because makes me choke up every time.

WOnderful tune. Taylor has such a gift with truth and lyrics. I've seen two shows, and I am truly inspired as a musician and admire how Dawes has grown as a band and as musicians.

I just heard it today on the radio, and unlike so many others, it really makes you LISTEN to it...I was thinking, "Wow...that's great songwriting, right there." I knew I'd have to look it up later. Very memorable, very powerful song.

I cry every time the current plays this... I'm on 3 cries in 2 weeks in the car. I agree - something very 'old' about this song. Reminds me of a hymn in a way I can't explain.

My girlfriend and I danced to this song as we listened to it on the current. She began to cry and said she is worried about me. I've been fighting depression for quite some time. She made this song mean so much. This song is helping me fight. Simply beautiful.

This song has made me cry - it is so moving. I heard it on the radio - probably a US station (Paradise) that my other half likes. This group will go far in my opinion.

saw them at Headliner's in Louisville about 6 hours after they recorded this video. I couldn't help but ask Taylor to play "that new song" as he and the rest of the band were mingling during the opening act. Their encore opened with Taylor noting my specific request and continuing to play this beautiful song. Gotta love Dawes AND the mighty fine 91.9 WFPK!!!!

Please just buy it on itunes - it's only a dollar. These musicians do not make much money unless they really are playing the huge venues and Dawes is not there yet. Support them, they are worth every penny.

Dawe's "A Little Bit of Everything" (record Nothing is Wrong, 2011) demonstrates the unassuming power of folk rock to capture both the particularity of human life and the universality of its dramas. Life at every moment, and in every place is caught up between the limit situations of the moment and the incredibly common aspirations of self-fulfillment, love, and hope. The man who in Syria runs with his dying daughter in his hands, or the mother who still cries for her children who died burnt in the city of Lawrence, MA, as far apart as they may be, are one in the incredible pain of their unspeakable losses. Life is a little bit of everything, both love and hate, life and death, contradictions that are held together without anything to hold.
