This is by far the best Dawes to date and I love every song they've released. Masterful and killer progressive song writing and Jam. Musically gives me chills. This right here is what music is all about.

I read somewhere that this song could be interpreted as being about tyranny and dictatorship. What I love about it is that taylor wrote lyrics that speak for the people living under that reality. It’s so easy to drive yourself crazy “doom scrolling” the latest headlines. But at the end of the day, these cycles have a way of playing themselves out. Our greatest need is to simply relax and try to live out the time we’ve been given and “relax” like the Doomscroller in the song. Dawes is one of the most underrated bands in our generation. Taylor is a brilliant lyricist and I’m always amazed with every release!

Instant. Masterpiece. it's rare to be blown away by a first listen of so many songs by the Same Artist. Over a decade. "From a Window Seat" > "Things Happen" > (entire WAGD album) > "St. Augustine At Night" > "Someone Else's Cafe/Doomscroller tries to relax" bless you boys

Damn! Recording a live performance in a recording studio proved brilliant because this is engineered perfectly! It looks like you are all slinging Gelber and Sons instruments? It's hard to choose a standout performance here, but Wylie's tone takes the cake for me. Beautifully done.

I watched the full 'In the Round' performance four times over the weekend and the album sounds magnificent. Definitely some strong Steely Dan vibes and having Jonathan Wilson as a producer appears to have added something extra to the band's sound. I just need them to come back to the UK and hear it live!

Watched it at least four times full, then put head phones on and listened repeatedly while mowing . Probably at least 10 times that one day. I was disappointed the next morning that I couldn't start over. Fantastic.
