How Gaijin Should Let players Research Hidden and Removed Vehicles in War Thunder

The Convertible RP system in War Thunder has been extremely outdated because its purpose of making it so someone with a fresh account can't GE there way to top tier. I think the best way to give it a new life would be let players get rare vehicles from it like Panther II Tiger 105 and many more.

Panther II isnt fake, but inaccurate. It should have regular 75mm`s and was never put together, despite having all needed parts ready.

Gaijin should add a completely new side of War Thunder, a Fictional side of War Thunder and you can use convertible RP over there. Because adding a new Fictional gamemode allows for Gaijin to be completely creative with the vehicles there, Balance it how ever they want, and make War Thunder a completely unique game on the World stage having their own world of Fictional tanks. I just need reasons on why it should not happen to properly see if its a good idea

Both the Panther II and Tiger II 105mm should preferably get some rework though. WoT actually has a more-accurate visual portrayal of the Panther II in term of the Schmalturm for the 88mm L71 gun, and the rangefinder location on the current Tiger II 105mm would prevent the gun from depressing in real-life.

Considering the latest additions to war thunder like the m1kvt, I would want to see the other paper tanks which were once available in the normal tech tree added back in the same place without any weird mechanic for obtaining them.

I think they should just remodel the Panther II to be more historically accurate and bring it back that way. Replace the current turret it has, the Schmalturm (which the Panther II was never intended to use), with the Schmale-Blende it was intended to use. This would also mean replacing the 88mm gun with a 75mm, since that's the only gun that was proposed for this turret. Reduce the BR from 6.7 to 6.3, and now you have a historically accurate and balanced Panther II. And if people really miss the 88mm gun, there was a real project to upgun the Panther with an 88mm, called "Panther mit 8.8 cm".

Yea they lost WW2 so when nations like America and USSR where making big heavy tanks Germany was still trying to rebuild with it being split east and west limiting what was made tank wise. Giving them little options for that period right after WW2 for vehicles to be added to game.

My solution is to have the ability to implement it like the squadron vehicles, except have 1-5 percent convertible rp each match go to event vehicles like the Obj 279 (let's say 700K crp)

I always thought it could be a system where like, if you spade all Germany medium tanks out to rank 4 you can research the panther 2, or all king tigers to research the 105 or something. But I don’t think they’d ever do something as consumer friendly as that though so whatever…

Exchanging Convertible RP to boosters would make more sense I think. No matter how good the rates are there wouldn't be a way to get it all at once, and it would really encourage play. Maybe conversion for RP boosters should be not included or at a worse exchange rate, but the possibility would be additionally exciting. You could combine the ideas and make forbidden boosters that just enable research of disabled vehicles and are buyable with convertible RP (probably also GE like everything else smh).

The game shouldn’t have had unrealistic tanks to begin with, but the tiger and panther do kinda make sense because there were straight up plans for it, unlike all of the other ones which don’t even have armor actual armor stats sometimes.

Convertable Rp serves the same purpose it always did you use GE to turn convertible rp into normal rp to unlock tanks etc. and rare vics doesn't solve the issue of veterans since most have those vics already. best would be to just allow converting rp to GE.

I agree, I've stated with friends and in discussions about a "level cap" for premium vehicles, example, most games have a level cap on when you can buy exclusive items, say, you reach rank III, you're able to only buy rank 2 and 1 premiums and so on, being able to gain access to silver lions with convertible rp is a good idea in my opinion, especially for people who play free to play, an easier way for GE would be nice as well. Easier refundable options for GE premiums would be another great thing, rare vehicles like the Panther 2 should be a once a year thing just like the Maus, especially the sturmtiger. Or add variants like the Panther II, the Panther II was a real thing with night vision prototype additions like the Panther G. Completely unfair for newer players, dislike my comment if you don't agree, like it if you agree do what you want. If anyone wants to add on to my comment, go for it.

For the marketplace, I think vehicles where there are versions available to purchase shouldn’t be grindable. HOWEVER, there are vehicles where none are available for purchase, like the Excelsior last time I checked, those make sense to be added to the convertible RP system. Also, if the goal is to stop abuse of the system, I wish that vehicles that sell for more than, say, 1000 (or lower), should be given a way to research as well, since selling at such high prices is ridiculous.

Yup the sad thing about the market is its great for players that put nothing into the game to be able to sell stuff for premiums etc. But then you have the other end of the spectrum of people who already have everything wanting to sell E100s they won from a GE tournament for $1000+ to just have more gaijin coin. Not the hugest fan of scalping other players when you already have more then they ever will.

yeah and warthunder removed the Panther II for "historical reasons" as if this game was meant to be historical in the first place when Nazi Germany is paired up with Israel in matchmaking or the fact that the majority of the Japanses tech tree is made up *COUGH* *COUGH* *HO-RI* so if warthunder is really going to put its money in its mouth it needs to realise that either its not a historical game, and so let us research the Panther II or that it is and remove nation filling paper tanks and spend more time trying to make a "historically accurate match making"

You would not be able to sell it on the marketplace, but it would be nice to have a way of getting BP vehicles you missed by playing the game, instead of having to deal with the ridiculous prices of the Marketplace.

I think they should let u buy boosters with the convertible rp but with a limit of 2000 percent of rp boosting and 1000 percent sl boosting every other day so you cant buy like 400 rp boosters and get like 3 kills and get like 4 rank 6 tanks in one game but still help the grind so if u want u can spend like 60k convertible rp on 20 40 percent 10 mission rp boosters that also dont expire. Obviously u cant really abuse it by being cheeky and buying a bunch with multiple battles opposed to one or 3 and stacking them because they dont stack at all because they lose a lot of value if u do but at the same time it would give the players an insensitive to play the game and not just start it up for the daily login and turn it off and do something else like I do.

Gaijin does not add or remove vehicles for historical reasons but for balance (for example Japanese jets, the ones that I remember are the r2y2 and the f16, and in Germany the Maus, USRS the top tier ship)

If you look at some of the forum post or some of the WT live streams about the R2Y2s they have said they would be removed if a replacement is found. Japan does not have a replacement at all when it comes to the R2Y2s. F16 for Japan is another fake vehicle being another reason why it makes zero sense on why stuff like the Panther II was removed. Same with the Kronshtadt but they did say they would use USSR blueprint ships since they don't have any battleships

Cool video but personaly i think deleted vehicles should stay the way they are, i mised a lot of them and this sucks but a part of the fun for the player that own them is that they are so unique. I would like a alternative way to get SL because I’ve been getting the tanks researched before I have enough SL to buy them so I can move on to the next rank. I wasted around 150k in research on the Swedish tree because I couldn’t afford to buy the tanks to move on. Same thing happened in the Russian tree too

What ever hidden vehicles they are missing. China is about to have one with the PT76 TU2s for USSR. Germany in this case has the most since it use to be a “axis” tree Italy got moved to its own tech tree so removed those vehicles.

Convertible RP should honestly just be removed from the game. It serves almost no purpose and to change the feature so that players could actually use it would basically trivialize the game for those players who have tens of millions of it saved up.

E-100 I would sadly say not to allow since it is a market vehicle with players already having coupons.

@@hypeairsoftandgaming the maus is the one rare exception where it comes back each anniversary around November where if you put 1 RP into it when they allow it for research again you can get it anytime throughout the year just have Germany rank V.

I disagree completely as it takes away from all form of exclusivity for the players that have these vehicles they show that your a war thunder veteran and it’s not fair that every new player is able to get them it’s like bringing event vehicles back it just ruins the point of it being a rare vehicle imagine grinding hours or being a long term dedicated player to get these removed vehicles just for them to be brought back you would feel cheated and like you wasted your time

I mean It’s ok to have that opinion but the way I think about warthunder is it’s a video game that some day will shut down. No matter what I get vehicle wise in the long run it will never matter. What will matter is the experiences I got over the years the people I got to meet and if letting people go after vehicles they missed just for not playing the game at the correct time I could care less.

I agree with you on the rare event tanks shows off that you are a dedicated player since most were time consuming and not to mention the impossible tasks were hard to do on a time limit.

Hey. I am not so good on writing in english so i'll try to argue and i'll try to male my self to be understud. You fo this post, video, qnd you argue for the why. No becouse . for ex the last lvl it become so easy to play that all can play it. I seen ppl witn T VII tanks and no more then 55 skils lvl. 2 tanks on the tree one visa tank and a heli...okThe quality of the game is...just more dopamine in and nonskils. I like the post do kot het me rong. But...when you play tje last techtree...it just a trash game lately. About the plane almost the same. About the vehicle that are not in the techtree...rly is not so big deal. . You can't heave all content all the time. so in my opinion you can t compare a 2 years acout with ...6 or 8 years. just becouse you whant. I like the ideea of tanks, and are ppl playing this game becouse tanks but in the last time is just more or lase just arcade.In the long run it damage the game if you put it facil, easy. The last lvl supose to be an achivement. and playng with much more care. Have a good day.

I think it should stay hidden. I have the Panther II, Flakpanzer 341, Japanese Tiger and a few other rare vehicles and I think it’s a cool rarity for OG players.
