Let's do some quick math, the setup on Amazon is $330 US. The monitor by itself is just under $90 on Amazon, you got $20 in the headset, headset, keyboard, and mouse combo, the King Fast SSD is also about $20, the NVidia 750 Ti is about $40 on eBay, Windows, if they paid for a license, they probably did a $10 gray market key, and the computer and its RAM are probably free from recyclers, so that brings the component cost of the PC up to about $180. Add in like another $20 for labor, glitter, and RGB for $200. Even after Amazon's cut and shipping they are probably clearing about $70. Not bad.

My kid had something like this until I had enough handmedown parts to just buy a full size case and stuff them all in. This kind of thing is amazing for getting kids into their first PC. 350 bucks for a full PC set up is under the price point of current gen consoles so it's great for a kids christmas or birthday gift. And even though it's kind of expensive to upgrade, it can be done. As well part of the expense of PC gaming is the monitor and other accessories, so with this you can slowly swap in new parts or better accessories. 10/10 for any sellers who actually give out deals like this.

I also spent $300 on Amazon and eBay to build a system for one of my kids. Started with an i5-6500 Dell refurb system with 16GB DDR3L memory and a 128GB m.2 SATA SSD ($110). Added a 480GB SATA SSD ($25), low profile GT1030 2GB (DDR5 of course) video card ($45), cheap keyboard and mouse and headset ($30), and a 24 inch 1080p monitor ($90). It's not as beefy graphics wise but it's more than enough for the games they play. Hoping it holds out for 3-4 years and then they will be an adult and can buy their own. With this as a baseline, I hope it will allow them to make good decisions on what to replace it with.

This would be a good deal for a college student and I'm not even kidding. Now, second-hand you'd get way better performance with way less $$ but this is straight off Amazon, and has everything a setup needs.

Dawid, you should save all the small clips of you peeling those sweet, sweet peels. And put them all together for a full video of just peeling plastic. Like a year of peeling plastic in a video

I had a i7 2600 up until 2 years ago and it was a monster of a cpu it was starting to show it's age. Although you can't overclock or use fancy ram with these pre builts (like mine) but with a overclock and fast ram it's still a pretty good cpu I bet

I have gone this route before and can say that moving the hardware to a cheapo tower and a better PSU makes a difference across the board.

I wonder whether BOM just means Bill Of Materials which in the inventory/manufacturing world is a kit list of parts to make a complex item or system. So it is just a BOM code. You don’t normally see it presented that way but that would be my guess.

Honestly, for one who has not that much money, the whole system is OK! You can run Windows 10 on it and with 16 GB RAM you are also fine to play some games with it. The PC is still good for 1-2 yrs and also a good Starter-PC for some kids who are starting their relationship with a PC.
