I love your videos, and love the new focus on modular … keep ‘em coming 🤙

cool. I knew this would happen. I knew you were going to make awesome videos of you messing with modular. this is a good day

This is amazing I’m trying to resist going modular, love them arcade style buttons as well 😎

Great video! I’d recommend sending the button triggers into the Play input and maybe the clock input as well. Also, make sure to turn the Slide attenuverter positive or negative so whatever modulation you send it has some effect. This module goes deep!

Cool cool, thank you ! Could you tell me what is that module on the right if morphagene, with yellow green red blue buttons ? What's its fonction ? I' just start loving modular journeys you know... Thank youuu 🍀

What's the module you were doing the finger drums on? Looks like a bunch of arcade game "fire" buttons.

Have you got any more videos using the morphagene in a Hip Hoppy context? What's the bear minimum system I would require to run Morphagene as a break slicer/looper? (I already have a keystep pro and hardware drum machines so I'm thinking more in terms of filter, FX and mixer modules, I guess). Is there anybody else using the Morphagene for Hip Hop whose brain I can pick? Thanks.

Love this module but damn do i hate all the button combo things you need to remember. I may be in the minority but I sort of wish there was a really basic simple screen. I usually just end up twisting the organize knob for ages until something random comes up.

There's a free Android app called Morphagene that lists all the button combos. I need to use it myself because I forget and sometimes end up erasing my whole reel.

agreed. i never use my morphagene enough because of all the combos. you'd think a childhood of playing mortal kombat would make me better at this

How does the bit box compare to morphagene in terms of generative sampling/resampling and sample processing?
@BluesFerguson6 ай бұрын
I don't have a morphagene to compare, but the bitbox can do a lot... if you don't mind a lot of fiddling and menus. I would say from what I've seen of the morphagene though, it's not as powerful at manipulating samples, it just makes the process of saving/recalling individual ones (i.e. drums) much simpler. Different aims.

Question here about the morphagene. how did you get rid of the digital noise it makes? Mine seems to make digital noise. even if there is nothing plugged in. Already tried different cases and some one else who has it also experiences this.

Question: can those modules be use by themselves? say I just want to use one module and an external sound source or do I need a set up like yours?
@markblacket89002 жыл бұрын
you would at least need a power supply and preferrably some kind of a case and i don't think it's a good idea tbh, the main point of a modular is building a system of modules and patching them together to create new sounds i'd grab a hologram microcosm as a standalone granular processor / looper, it would be cheaper and more usable
@breakalime2 жыл бұрын
You could house and power a single module such as the morphagene in something like a 4ms pod; however, in addition to an external sound source, you’d probably want additional sources for modulation cv, clock and gate signals etc. This could also be achieved by way of semi-modular devices like the Make Noise 0-coast. I’d recommend looking at some of the pre-assembled make noise systems such as the tape and micro sound music machine for inspiration.

Sorry, another question! What is this data thing on the left?
@klunkébikes2 жыл бұрын
It’s Data by Mordax. It’s basically an oscilloscope amongst other things. Whether you get this or Zeroscope or O’Tool, I’d suggest some sort of scope for people new to this jungle. Very useful!
