Will here is my opinion (not that it even matters) but as a fan of both I also saw Dawn wanting marriage in the future while Hyuna I felt like she never wanted to be tied down so she didn't feel like the one who needs to be married to someone. If anything it did feel like she just wanted a partnership and she enjoys that. I also felt like Dawn would want to have kids which surprised me when I saw him in "The return of superman" he was good at handling a todler. But Hyuna although she adores children didn't seem that enthusiastic to have any kids of her own in her own life. Maybe (this is just my speculation) but perhaps hyuna felt like it was to late in the game to do any of that and I think she rather enjoys her life as a free spirit meanwhile it seemed like Dawn sort of had to adjust himself to her but that doesn't mean he didn't enjoy doing so...I feel like he is the type of guy to willingly do so (goes with the flow type of guy) cause thats his love language. But in the end as much as they love each other the difference in future is pehaps what tore them a part. Who knows this is just my observation/opinion.
