This album takes many more listens than any other Weeknd album to fully appreciate. I've listened now over 100 times, and I can say with confidence that speaking solely from the pure artistic perspective, this is Abel's greatest work.

As soon as my friend shown me this album, it struck me by surprise and I got obsessed immediately. Having a famous actor narrate and "host" it (in a radio sense) is cool. Also making it seem very edgy and dark. The transitions with his appearance and mentality between albums is just nothing that is seen from other artists. As soon as I realised that there was an attempt to smoothly transition from one song to another in this album, I immediately wanted to perfect it. This still isn't perfect, but it is close to what I imagine the weeknd wanted.

@@Princess_Leia DJs been doing this forever with hip hop mix tapes and live mix set recordings, it used to be a standard almost for HH and Rap albums (late 90s - early 2000's) but at some point everything went more "single" based vs EP/LP Album, and artists stopped doing an "experience" as much... I also miss this and I feel that WKND is the closest thing we have to a modern day M Jackson... this album hits different... its probably my DJ background but I appreciate it so much and its great to meet someone else who also does!

On Spotify on IPhone it smoothly transitions between the songs. I use android and I noticed that most of the songs end off with the beginning of the next so I made this for those who don't have youtube music, premium, iPhone etc. I was thinking about adding my own advertisements and I did record some but they turned out absolutely terrible 😂. I will work on that though!!!

Some android apps will have options to add a delay to tracks or crossfade them so one bleeds out as the next comes on. I don't use any of that this album just flows from start to finish.
