Lyrics for Last Train: I won't be what you want me to be, baby I won't say what you want me to say I'll be right here when you call my name, waiting And when you tell me you don't want me here And you, you keep my number 'til the rent check's clear And my, my body starts burnin' up And well, I don't want you anymore So take the money and run to your man, I quit givin' a fuck And well, I don't trust you anymore So take the last train home in the dark And quit breakin' my heart Well, I won't be what you want me to be, baby And I won't say what you want me to say I think about you every night and day lately And when you tell me you don't want me near And I, I took to punchin' out your bathroom mirror again It felt like losin' a friend And well, I don't want you anymore So take the money and run to your man, I quit givin' a fuck And well, I don't trust you anymore So take the last train home in the dark and quit breakin' my heart Source: MetroLyrics

this song helps me alot when I get depressed. reminds me that sometimes you just have to let toxicity go even if it hurts. I have a terrible habit of tearing away pieces of myself to heal people who end up hurting me in the end. this band has been played on repeat for days now

Dawn Golden is a fantastic song writer and I love this song. It’s like he’s trying to convince himself he doesn’t love this person anymore by writing a song saying so even if it’s not fully true. Sometimes musicians need this to let go, to convince themselves that who they love isn’t right for them.

Not sure if this is a cry out for help that's leading down a dark path of something bad, suicide or otherwise. But I'm here for you, and while I by no means, wish to preach anything, I know what it's like, and I know what it's like dealing with suicide, or deep dark depressions. I also know there is only one real answer to receiving not just happiness (which is temporary), but real continuous joy that does not cease no matter the circumstance, no matter how sad or dire things get. Message me if you want to talk about anything, I know this was posted 5 months ago, so maybe much has changed but I'm here in case not.

I wanted you so bad... but you aren't giving me any reasons to want you anymore. So I don't want you anymore. You can chase the money I quit giving a fuck. I'll get out of your way because that's all I was to you at this point. I will not be whatever you want me to be. Or say whatever you want me to say. I literally think about you every night and day. But when you block me and tell me you don't wanna see and I have my anger issues because of it and each time it gets worse... feels like losing a friend. Well I don't want you anymore. Because I don't trust you anymore. So take the train to the city and don't ever come back. Just stop breaking my heart.

Scronozon hey, you're young and you've got your whole life ahead of you. For now, please focus on studying and get a good education. There are many things more important than relationships at such a young age. And don't ever think about committing suicide. You're special. I hope you read this someday. I hope everything is going well for you. Take it easy.

Scronozon sweetie I understand how you feel. I've been clinically depressed / manic depressive since I was around your age. it does get easier, and even if you do hurt, there are always going to be little moments that make life worthwhile. don't rob yourself of the opportunity to grow up and be something special because of other people.

I guess the part of this song that sucks the most is you are forced to keep playing it. When I say forced that is a bit of an overstatement because it is definitively a beautiful record but what it evokes can only be described as unyielding pain and loss.
