I spent decent time of my life not knowing where this song originated from. It's nice background music, and I've heard of allot of people use it. There is high entertainment to be had from parking on the drop-off zone outside Tesco at 0950 on a Sunday morning and playing this loud, with the windows wound down. A dissolute dribbling queue of the undead gather in preparation for the doors opening at 1000. One started grinning, one started frowning, and the other 8 didn't appear to notice. No great surprise there.

This song among some other differences, is why I like the Romero cut better. I don't know if he put it in the credits as a relief after the tense action, but it's giving the movie a cynical ending like nothing was gained, and now were back at zombies haunting the mall like when the movie started.
