SPOILERS you go to each of the 4 regions in termina and beat the temples there, then 4 giants whose masks were stolen by the temple bosses but you brought back will hold the moon and avoid it hitting clock town. ENDGAME SPOILERS then you enter the moon's mouth and beat majora: the evil spirit thing trapped in majora's mask and the moon will be back to normal
