The best fix that's worked for me is, strangely, just limiting the framerate to 60. Some people say specifically limiting to 58 can also help as 58 is the tick rate per second that Dawn of War 2 runs at. It doesn't 100% eliminate it, but it's turned into one sound bug every several months instead of one every hour or less. Another fix that's worked for some is an updated .dll file that Eternal does not include (as it can be incompatible on certain hardware), but the Codex mod DOES include. You may want to try that as well.

hey love the mod so far, honestly zooming around with my sped up stormtroopers is amazing. i would however like to ask why the space marine model count is so high? from a style point of view i prefer the lower model count, but maybe thats just me.

There's been a number of experiments with 8 players - it's doable and we actually currently have a UI built into Eternal that *supports* 8 player maps if someone were to add one, although Eternal itself currently has none (yet) - the reason being there's no capability to save / watch replays nor include observers, which is a major issue to some people. As for more than 8 players, 8 is unfortunately the cap - we haven't looked into going past that number yet and I'm unsure if we will.

maybe go further and add realism in Dawn of war?) - Laser cannon, melta, rokkits that burn through the tank should do the same with the infantry. Large units (avatar, nurgle demon, benblade, landraider, etc.) under their huge weight must crush infantry, light vehicles (sentinel, chaos dog), buildings (generators, turrets). Some people say that the game engine doesn't know how to do this, but it's done by creating a damage radius in which 100% damage is dealt. You just need to reduce the collision of the object so that the unit ends up in the object and is destroyed.

Honestly, I wouldn’t say it’s better - it’s just different. Eternal is a re-imagining of dow2’s gameplay using elements of both dow1 and dow3, but at its core it still functions very much like dow2 - powerful hero units, extensive wargear, emphasis on unit leveling, etc. It has faster paced fights, but slower paced overall battles due to the addition of tech trees and a very light base building element. Again, I wouldn’t call it better than vanilla. Dawn of War 2 is a fantastic game as-is, and if you’re looking for a mod that expands exclusively upon dow2’s elements, I would highly recommend the Elite mod as it does a fantastic job of keeping dow2 active and has been consistently updated for years.

Los mapas son muy estrechos o pequeños como para convertir dow2 en dow1 en cuanto a ejercitos masivos, otra cosa es que hay unidades especificas que seran imparables ahora que cuentan con mayor numero de tropas y eso que no he tocado el tema del spam de unidades....

Is it just me or the Eldar shields are too strong? Tried it out and 1 suqd of avangers wiped out my 3 squads of guardsmen in matter of seconds .. ( playing against AI)

played yesterday. Cool, BUT - a running dreadnought)), a predator tank that drives briskly like a motorcycle of white scars, space marines run fast like eldar). In general, almost all units began to move very quickly. Fellblade - the best Astartes superheavy tank is destroyed by few fire dragons in a few seconds(((. The entourage of realism Dow2 is lost, now looks like casual mobile game(((. But, its beta and all can will be much better)

I will be honest the trailer don't showcase very well what the mod is about. The mod page says its base microing + more units. I respectfully pass. DoW II is already such a babysitting game with units alone, can't fathom having fun microing MORE of them plus them specialized buildings.
