I FRICKEN LOVE THIS MUSICAL. The tickets are sold out, but if this ever makes a return PLEASE SEE IT. It's written so well and the emotions feel so raw and natural. The actors amplify the already amazing screenplay and breathe life into it. Only once the finale music played, did it really dawn on me that they were characters. The story is just so immersive and entertaining, and I felt like I was looking into peoples lives as it unfolded. Each character also has a deeper motivation, a layered backstory and don't feel like one note wonders. The humour is also unmistakably Polynesian, and it was great to understand it all, I think the main thing that I envy about Oscar Kightley is his ability to interweave humour into serious scenes without making it feel forced. It adds another layer to it's natural, realistic feel without having to make it a grim, dark drag. 100/10 AMAZING. Thanks for bringing poly theatre out into the world!
