i have planted three of these in eastern Oklahoma. Currently, they are doing well and have survived a -25 winter. Such winters do happen in Oklahoma occasionally,

I planted two in the woods by my house in maryland, I planted them in a clear over head area that gets sunlight from about 10:30AM to about 11:30 and a little afternoon sun, bought them bareroot about 1 foot tall . 1 has already grown about one foot since I planted them in early spring, got a galvanized fence around them since I know deer like to eat any plant you want to grow

One of my favorite trees! A good friend of mine had planted a Dawn Redwood in their yard in 1968, (it’s about 80 feet tall) it bears cones, but I never could find even a single seedling ever from that tree, how do they reproduce?
