I love how I’ve put in enough time into sound design, that I actually understand everything he’s saying. Which is awesome. Because he says some mind blowing stuff that, a year ago, would have completely gone over my head.

Man the soft-clipping perceived loudness trick was crazy. I tried it and it made my synths and drums sound much louder while actually lowering the peak volume significantly! I couldn't believe the readings

Scales - How do you invent them? Do you have a few scales you mainly use?

Oooof. Now that’s a deep question. I would assume that you could just create a scale by combining notes together and only staying within those notes. the problem is that almost all combinations of scales have been created. As far as which scales Au5 uses, it’s usually betweeen D# - G
