Wow... My childhood. The 90s. This broke my heart, in a way... "The end of something simple, and the beginning of everything else."

Same here. Seemed like it was so easy to have a good show like this. Now networks either try too hard or don’t try at all. Network execs should have to watch promos and ads and bumpers so they can see how it should be done you know?

I remember watching this show. I was in the same grade, they were in. My favorite character is Pacey.

I know. I miss The WB and Kids’ WB as well as the shows and the network. Wish we can go back in time so we can save it all
@Trekapedia2 жыл бұрын
@@erickbuckner4485 same here. It upset me so much that the advertisers said they didn’t have enough time to promote their products and forced the network to give them the weekdays, therefore ending the Kids’ WB! weekday block. There was plenty of time for them to promote their adult products on weeknights and The WB Big Sunday yet they felt they deserved all of the time. The network even tried to broker a deal to have the weekdays for Kids’ WB! during the summer but the advertisers wouldn’t budge and compromise. So sad because those kids shows were still doing well and didn’t need to be removed.

if Kevin Williams hadn’t of left the show would’ve been way better. The first two seasons had the best writing the rest was saved by pacey and joey.

The people who cut together these trailers clearly had no idea that Pacey was the best character on the show LOL. There are literally two shots of JJax in this whole thing, and one of them was with Tamara (ugh).

@@LifewithJimmy There was something very unique about The WB. I loved their promos with the actors from the different shows on the The WB lot. So nostalgic.
@Trekapedia2 жыл бұрын
@@evilsilence88 same here. I grew up with those backlot intros and advertisements and bumpers. The WB and Kids’ WB! did promotion and advertisements so perfectly. They put every other network to shame and even stuff like the music advertisements at the end of each show, nbc copied them for some shows after awhile. That’s how good this network was. It was like they didn’t even have to try. Kids’ WB! was able to promote some shows for the kids growing up and yet still be welcoming for everyone. You could see advertisements for both Kids’ WB! shows like Pokemon and Jackie Chan Adventures during Kids’ WB! Then the next moment, you would see commercials for something like Smallville and it felt so natural you know? They didn’t advertise Buffy during Kids’ WB! because it was too adult for that audience but the kids who grew up with Kids’ WB! shows like Superman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond could easily become fans of Buffy and Smallville when they got older so it felt like it was a natural progression. Feels like some channels don’t even try at that and that’s what hurts them.

Nah as a kid watching the show I wanted Dawson and Joey. When I rewatched it as an adult, I was Team Pacey. Dawson loved the idea of Joey. Pacey loved Joey just the way she was with her flaws and all. Dawson represented childhood while Pacey represented womanhood and helped her mature into woman she became and pushed her to reached her full potential even when she doubted herself from teaching her how to drive to inspiring her to stand up for her beliefs in the protest against Principal Green's firing to encouraging her and Bessie to turn their home into a Bed & Breakfast, or speaking positively to the deans and recruiters about her to help increase her chances of getting into her dream school.
