Great example, Ruth. Thanks for the video! How it's possible to add a new index column incremental? Like a primary key for a Table in a database.

@@CurbalEN so... Is there a possibility that you know what can I include to start an index not at 00:00, but at 06:00? And for the values below 06:00 of the same day to continue the sequence? For example, 6 am is 1, 5 pm is 2, 11 pm is 3 and 1 am of the same day is 5.

Hey ruth. Can i use something like this but in measures instead of calculated columns. I have a dataset of around 3 MM rows, and adding another column would add like 10mb in the pbix file.. Thank you!!

Great example when you know the colums and rows to filter, but do you know how to create an Index based on a matrix where you can add rows and columns dinamically? not knowing which columns and rows are going to be? and you can add 1 or more fields to the rows, where you can collapse them and still having the index per row? I have been dealing with this issue for 2 weeks and still having get to a solution.

Hi Can you also make a video to show row number in Table visual which should be dynamic irrespective of changes happening because of slicer selection or by changing sorting using different columns present in Table.

Hello!! I'm wondering if I can do this to fix my problem... my "supplier" column is a date column - is it possible for me to create an index where if the other variable of location is just verifying that there's a date in the cell?

Hi Ruth! I did this successfully on a table with supplier and date instead of location. So the index increments on for each date for each supplier. All is well until I need to filter the date. How can I have the index "reset" after changing the date filter?

I have created that index for a customer that wanted to have an I'd number for each row. In his case I created two indexes , so they final result is; Supplier A : India : 30 days: 1.1 Supplier A : India : 60 days : 1.2 Supplier B : Spain :30 days : 2.1 Hope this helps! /Ruth
