@@CalvinSzeMagic Fool Us is also an ad vehicle for magicians, first and foremost. The real reason people go on the show has nothing to do with P&T directly, because both the person(s) on stage and P&T know that the magician(s) are primarily trying to get their act on TV. Outside of casino shows and magic specific venues, there aren't too many places where it is financially viable to get hired for a major show. The tricks that might actually fool P&T are often not the ones that are showy and draw an audience, which is the main point of the show.

Who's this new host? She's terrible. For real. He literally said the trick's name THREE TIMES, and she's still clueless. But regardless, a cups and balls trick was most probably not going to fool Penn and Teller. They've not only mastered it, they've also come up with multiple variations of it themselves. To have Penn say that this was the best one they've seen is a feat in itself.

Penn and Teller are in the role of being "savvy", and her role is to be the clueless audience surrogate, even though I'm sure she has picked up a lot over the past several years. It's a show in celebration of magic. She exaggerated her reactions, as do Penn and Teller to some extent, because they want to hype up these magicians, even if they sometimes see through the act.

Ya, I watched it frame at a time and you can definitely see his right hand disappear under the bowl while throwing something.. but.. it's hard to see how he's got enough room to palm two real eggs (and presumably one fake squishy one). But, it's possible he actually slights the two real eggs one at a time just before he cracks em open. In other words, 3 fake eggs on the table, he palms one real egg in his hand as he picks up one of the 3 fake squishy ones, cracks the real one, discards shell and first squishy one, while he palms the 2nd real one, picks up 2nd squishy one, cracks real.. discards shell and 2nd squishy, and then picks up last fake one to start the chicken trick, which he pretty clearly loads from the back edge of the table.

This was not only the best Cups&Balls, it was the funniest ever. Damien, you have such a great character and great humor and a huge talent, it's a pleasure to watch you. Only one chicken at the end was unnecessary, because there was no trick involved and it diminished your art a little bit. There's no way to fool Penn and Teller, or really anybody on how the cups and balls are performed. Its all palming and quickly placing the balls or eggs or chicken under whatever cup you choose. Its still an awesome skill. You have to be very quick and smooth with your hands. But you're not going to "fool" anyone on exactly how its being done.

This gentleman was amazing, and very funny, and would love to see more of him doing other magic! I have a good understanding of how cups and balls work and I tried to follow what he was doing and when, and it was impossible! His technique was just perfect, and all of those fast hand movements just made it that more confusing. I still said out loud to myself "where the F--- did that come from???" hahaha I knew he probably wouldn't fool them, but sometimes Penn and Teller just like and just want to be entertained. :-)

I don't think they got it right at the end. Had they thought about it more they would have and he still wouldn't have fooled them but this is cups and balls+. I think the amount of times he said his hands were fast was a deception itself and only responsible for some of the tricks. I think the real spoiler was in Daxien's backstory. Really great trick 10/10. Definitely prefer to laugh my way through a trick.
